Built with the cheapest materials around. Particle board in the sink, see pic. Caulking in the shower terrible, not cleaned before reapplied, also should have wait to dry before caulking. Shower stunk like mildew. TV has 2 remotes; 1 for tv & 1 for receiver. Finally got it to come on after pressing all power bottons a few times.

The location is perfect when you arrive late at night and have an early connection but since it is the only option within the airport, the service was terrible and they don’t care. The rooms are clean and like in new condition but the smell of cigarette is horrible. Also, if you are a light sleeper, don’t stay here. The metro and trains run just next to it so the noise and vibrations are intense.

So wonderful to have a shower, organize luggage, and sleep well before a long trip home. Yes, we could hear the low rumble of the subway, but that did not stop us from sleeping well. So nice to wake up and take the 20 minute shuttle to T1. Super convenient. We wanted to book Hellosky in Rome next year, but, unfortunately, it’s way out of our price range and we had to book a hotel downtown.

The metro runs by it. The entire room shakes when it goes bye and the noise is unbearable. I stayed there before in one of the opposite side rooms. Those are better and larger, but this time, for the same price, I got a smaller, smellier and very noise room. When ask for a different room or a cancelation, the front girl said I had to write to Human Resources first, because couldn’t help me.

Welcoming Reception
The hotel is of course very convenient for a quick overnight to make a morning connection. The room has no window so feels quite claustrophobic but had everything you need. Lights out, pitch black so finding the balance was a bit tricky. With that said the reception is excellent. Friendly, helpful. Offered me extra coffee, toast. Extremely responsive to messages (my flight was delayed and sent a message that I would be late arriving). Really excellent. A bit expensive for what they offer but very welcoming.

Check in was slow as the receptionist answered the phone while dealing with my arrival. Room Service menu was hopeless as the 3 things I chose from the menu were all out of stock - so I went to bed hungry.... Apart from that the room was clean, and the bed comfortable , the room was small (but ok for 1) and the room shook every time a plane landed or took off !

What I liked: The hotel is located in Terminal 4 of the Madrid airport. It was very convenient to go to the American Airlines ticket counter for checkin for an early morning flight. What I didn’t like: The hotel is located on the level between baggage claim and the train station - it was noisy at night. Because of the location level, there are no windows in the room - makes the room a bit claustrophobic. The room size was a bit small, but had everything we needed. fyi: one must descend several levels to get to the hotel. Google maps can get you to the right X/Y location, but doesn’t help with the Z location.

This hotel is inside MAD Terminal 4, one floor below the departure level, outside of security. We stayed here the night before we flew from MAD back to the U.S., and the convenience cannot be beat. It was incredibly convenient to wake up literally inside the airport and go one floor up to begin our check-in process. The rooms were clean and more spacious than we expected; each has a coffeemaker, a minibar, comfortable beds, and large towels. Those who need their AC to sleep should note that this room’s AC is, like much of Europe’s “AC,” largely ineffective, which is more problematic in these rooms because there are no windows to open. Also, bring earplugs/white noise if you are sensitive to sound, as the faint rumble of nearby trains comes and goes all night long. There’s a 24-hour bistro one floor up where we enjoyed an adult beverage before heading to sleep. The included breakfast was decent; the coffee was great but there were no hot food options other than toast. The staff was generally courteous but not exceptional. Overall, highly recommended for those flying internationally out of MAD.
