Lovely two nights in Madrid
Staying near Alicante for a month we decided to have a short break in Madrid. This hotel was in they perfect location. We had arrived in Madrid by train into Chamartin and got the metro L1 to Bilbao, the hotel was a 5 mins walk from there. Check in was great and the reception staff really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and clean. The only negative was that the rooms are in no way soundproof! So if you're a light sleeper I would suggest taking some ear plugs. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. We covered all the main tourist attractions by foot, only using the metro to get to the main station, but the metro was very easy to use. We found a lovely place to have brunch and also a great place for tapas just 5 mins walk from the hotel - the receptionist gave us a great recommendation. All in all a fantastic stay for a great rate.

It's not right in the city center but there's metro nearby, but that metro has no escalator or elevator so if you have big luggage, beware you have to climb the stairs. We booked 2 rooms but was quite far apart on the same floor.

My stay at Sercotel was good. The hotel is in a very nice area and convenient to the Metro. The bathroom/shower needs to be updated, but was fine. The air conditioner worked perfectly which is important to me! And the breakfast was great -- lots of fresh fruit!

Muy bien en sentido general,pero deben comunicar los pormenores que toma la dirección del hotel y no comunicarlo al huésped, ejemplo desconectar el aire acondicionado, creando un aire viciado de respiración, por ahorro de energía . Es imperdonable esa acción, clientes que vienen del trópico y pasar calor para descansar. Por lo menos , conectar un ventilador
