The property was advertised as having a heated indoor pool. The pool was not heated apparently the heater/filter had worked in weeks. The property never updated their website and did not notify guests as to this represented amenity not being available. They didn't even post notice at the pool area. I'm just very lucky my 3 year old didn't jump into the pool (as little kids do). The water was freezing cold!
When this was discovered I went to the front desk (twice). The 2 people working there were extremely rude and dismissive. I told them the only reason we even booked there was for access to the pool (they beyond did not care and did not offer to 'walk' us to another property in the area (a common practice for hotels). They we told this was not acceptable and we left the property. They refused to provide a receipt upon our turning in the room keys and were told management was going to handle this (they didn't) so now I have to fight them for a refund!
Right at the onset of making an inquiry about the state of the pool I let the front end person know that they were highly recommend by family from the area who had many functions at this property (wedding, etc.). She just didn't care. She interrupted me mid sentence and pointed at a piece of paper on the counter (off in the corner of the counter) that apparently said they were waiting on a part for the pool. This property lets anyone enter it and travel to the guests floors. This place felt like West Virginia!
