We’ve stayed at this resort before so we were familiar with everything. In comparing this room with booking direct on the Marco Ocean Beach Resort website, you’ll find it much cheaper but with that discount, be aware of the differences. This unit is rented out by the owner. You will NOT get daily housekeeping nor use of the chairs and umbrellas at the beach. The chair and umbrella thing was a big deal to lose from last year but again, this is discounted. They have 4 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas to haul down to the beach but the umbrellas don’t auger into the sand so skip it. You will get 1 garbage bag, 1 roll toilet paper so if you plan to stay more than a couple days, going to the grocery store for soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, and tissue has to be done. There was a few things left behind by other renters like salt and pepper and a half roll of paper towel. The unit needs a thorough paint job. The trim is chipped up and the door to the unit was dirty. The room smelled musty which is common with waterfront units. We just purchased a plug-in air freshener. Two lamps had dead lightbulbs. The TV has a Roku so if you have streaming accounts of your own, you have TV. The TV in bedroom had no Roku so it was useless unless you move Roku back and forth from living room. In the end I found the savings outweighed the things we gave up (compared to the rooms owned by resort). If the rental price was higher, or if money isn’t a factor for you, the resort website is the way to go.
