Although it was a little out of the way it happened to be of the only hotels that had availability. Check in was awesome. Even before check in we received a text message from sara asking about our arrival time. We would definitely stay here again just because we loved small town feel and hospitality!

The best mom n pops (well sis n sis) hotel I've been in. Room was clean and recently updated, staff was super nice and seemed to really care about your experience. There was no air conditioning but our room had two fans. We were there for what was probably the best stretch of weather they'd seen in a while. I would definitely stay again.

Very clean and comfortable. Only 10 rooms, a throw back to ma and pa days of the 50s. Very beautiful lake area. Owner was the best. If We were ever back in the area would stay there again. There was no vacancy the evening we stayed.

This is a totally refurbished single story motel. The owners did a fantastic job with the remodel. Its clean, neat, and the bed is very comfy! Coffee, muffins, juice and fruit cups for breakfast. There's a small restaurant/bar next door. The rooms are otfitted with a table and chairs, fridge, microwave and TV. Internet is available as well. Two sisters, Sara, Mary, and family have worked hard to provide a homey, clean atmosphere!

The staff were very friendly and gave us helpful tips to make our stay more pleasant. The bed was not very comfortable, and the tub drained very very slowly. The door did not have a proper lock, which was a little unsettling. Overall the room was nice and a good value for the price.

the consummate motor inn experience
The owners of this property are doing a good job making the property relevant. The owners are very nice, which makes the small motel experience so much better. However, to appreciate this place, you need to be prepared for a 1950's-style motor inn. As advertised, there is no A/C. This is probably not a problem ten months out of the year, but we visited in August, and even with two fans going (which made it very loud), the room was hot. Be sure you aren't expecting cool temperatures at night during July and August. The bathroom is also very small. Be prepared for that. The continental breakfast was what you would expect for this type of motel - mostly prepackaged breakfast items. The room furnishings were in keeping with the motel atmosphere - not as comfortable as you might expect, but consistent with the style of the motel. We had two sitting chairs that we not very comfortable, and a small table. The current owners renovated the motel when they acquired it, but to fix the above things would require an extensive, expensive renovation. The property is probably not worth that kind of investment. Overall, I would rate this as an average value. Hotels in Michigan seem to be overpriced for what they offer, and I feel this motel could do more for the price point they are operating at. The overall experience was somewhat disappointing for us. However, I want to emphasize that the owners are very nice and trying to do a good job with what they have to work with.

Very nice little place.
We needed a last minute stay and they were so friend accommodating. The room was basic but had everything that we needed. TV channels were great. We would def stay here again.

This motel is a little dated, but clean and well maintained. It was a nice place to stop and rest from a long-day of driving. I’m so glad the weather was perfect because there is no air conditioning; if we’d stayed a day later than we did it would have been pretty uncomfortable with high temperatures and humidity.

This is a remodeled old motel, built in 1964. No A/C. Big fan in the room. Very clean. Nice owner. No sugar free offerings for breakfast. No ice available.

Staff was very friendly. Room was nice and clean. No air conditioning but there were two fans in the room. Instructions for the wifi and cable were in the room and easy to use. Bathroom was small. Breakfast was fruit and prepacked bars or muffins.

Very nice hotel, especially for the small size. My only complaint- we need a little ice for our cooler, but practically none is provided. Would have like a few cups of ice to keep our food cold but don’t need to buy a whole bag at a grocery store.
