An Exceptional Stay – We’ll Be Back!

From the moment we arrived at The Sunset Inn, we were blown away. Rishi was a gracious, attentive, and thoughtful host who made us feel completely at home. The little touches here make a huge difference — the continental breakfast with oatmeal, pastries, granola bars, cereal, fresh fruit, a lovely assortment of teas, and a coffee machine that even dispenses hot cocoa was such a treat. The bed was beyond comfortable, and we loved that the property is just a short drive to Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf, plus only a five-minute walk to a scenic hike and the oceanfront — you could literally smell the sea from our room. We stayed in the Otter Cove room, and it was so cozy with its own fireplace. But the shower deserves its own paragraph — honestly, the BEST hotel shower I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve traveled a lot for work!). It felt like a spa with a rain showerhead above and a handheld with multiple massage features. We didn’t want to get out! Every room has a charming name, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and Rishi and his team are truly the hosts with the most. We can’t wait to come back — this was an exceptional stay from start to finish!

We enjoyed this place and we had the best room 201 on sight. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The beach was a quick drive nearby. We would stay there again.

A must stay experience!

Such an amazing stay!! Customer service was top of the line! Very kind during checking in and checkout also the gentleman who helped me was very informative about the area and places to go! The rooms are just beautiful, cozy and filled with excellent products! I will absolutely be planning another visit and staying with them! The location is a short 2 minute walk to the beach and being able to see the deers just roam around was a bonus of the area! The location was like a little cottage vibe, relaxing, peaceful and quiet!

The best part of this property is their manager who is a sweetheart and so kind. The hotel is quaint and comfortable and extremely clean. Not all rooms are the same but even through we didn’t have one of their better ones, it was a comfortable stay. We liked the continental breakfast and easy parking. Keep in mind that this area is pretty quiet and there is nothing to eat without driving 4-5 miles after 9pm.

The staff were very friendly and the property itself was very clean and nice. Each unit was separate with no upstairs noise creating a nice cabin type feel. Our room was newly remodeled with new floors, bathroom amenities with nice lighting and shower. Our room had everything we needed including extra blankets, ironing board, fireplace, ceiling fan, fridge and coffee maker. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice inn in Pacific Grove!

This was the absolute BEST hotel my husband and I have ever stayed at! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was clear that they took pride in their work. The room was impeccably clean- not a speck of dust anywhere! Having a functional shower that didn’t flood the bathroom, liquid soap, and an actual bathroom door that closed were nice perks too (as silly as those may sound). My husband and I loved the continental breakfast as well- it was perfect in the mornings! I also loved that the coffee machine was always available for use- we certainly got a lot of use out of it as it was quite chilly when we were visiting the area! My husband and I absolutely plan on staying here again someday, and we recommend it to everyone!

The staff were all VERY friendly and the room was clean. Easy walk to tide pools. Loved the deer we saw!! Parking was the only issue as there were not many spots and in the evenings it was hard to park in small areas.

Sunset inn was perfect for our mini vacation just before 4th of July. It's located in Pacific Grove right by Asilomar walking distance to the beach. Very quiet and beautiful. We arrived just few minutes before check-in time. We're able to get our key almost right away though the room itself was not ready yet. The management team was very helpful and friendly. We're able to park our car right across our room. The little cottage is very dainty. It's fairly equipped with microwave, mini frig, fireplace. Bathroom is a bit small & lack of counter space. Overall a beautiful place and easy drive to Monterey, Carmel as well.
