To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I understand that sometimes things happen that are out of our control, but this is still a business that relies on quality hospitality.
The hotel has a limited window when you are allowed to check in, yet I still had to wait over thirty minutes to be checked in. This is frustrating enough, but my car was idling out front while my dog waited for me to return. I had to ask the bar twice, with both bartenders seeming to avoid eye contact with me as I waited. The second time I asked the bartenders, it was after it had been about thirty minutes. One came over to check me in and apologized as she handed me a key and continues to wave me off.
After getting settled in our room, we went down to the restaurant to check out what was available for dinner. Seeing as I brought my dog, we were excited to sit at a table in the outdoor area. The server told me, however, that if I wanted service I had to sit inside. The vast majority of seating is outside, and I wasn't able to eat with my dog outside and was shunned to my room.
I was really looking forward to staying here and potentially making it a regular destination for my family. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this stay to anyone. In the hospitality industry, you need to provide at least a basic level of hospitality
