So let’s just say that everyone at this property takes pride in what they do. But this is an older property that may not meet everyone’s expectations. It’s been updated, but not lately. That all said, it was clean, and comfortable. Just set your expectations to meet the price you pay. We were there for a wedding. Our kids stayed at another property but they spent $350 more and breakfast was not included. There are a variety of pools and a nice hot tub. Also, this place has an amazing breakfast set up. It’s very well staffed, the food was excellent and they didn’t run out of any food at any time. It was always kept clean. Parking was abundant and easy. This property has, I believe, 5 buildings, and we stayed in the north tower.

Great access to the water, easy to get around Myrtle beach from this location. Staff was friendly as can be. There was construction but it’s advertised prior to booking so no big deal. Breakfast was fantastic each day.

I did not like the fact there were people not staying at resort that came in pool area and brought shampoo and used showers then went to their car brought their own food and used outside seating and sat and ate. It was 8-10 people. The property wasn’t secure in many areas. I reported to security and a hotel worker confirmed he took out the trash containing the food.

The Dayton House Resort is great for families traveling with children. In addition to the beautiful sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean, there were several options for pools, indoors and out. My husband and I were traveling to watch a grandchild in a sports tournament. We booked a room with a separate bedroom, kitchen and living room. We had a balcony with a partial ocean view. The kitchen was very tiny but it suited our purposes just fine and had all the necessary kitchen items. The couch was comfortable but, unfortunately, it did not face the tv so we had to watch at an angel (the couch was super heavy and we could not move it). There was additional sleeping in the living room with a Murphy bed! (We did not use it). The bed was comfortable and the the room was fairly quiet. The bathroom was clean and fairly spacious except for the small vanity top. We had a good supply of towels and more arrived each day. There is a complimentary breakfast served in a building just beyond the parking area. It was surprisingly good with make your own waffles, a coffee bar and a hot food buffet that included eggs, potatoes, fruit, grits, sausage, bacon or ham and a muffin. Every staff person with whom we had contact was very nice and friendly. Like most beach hotels, this one was just a little "well used" and could do with an update. The pool areas and lobby were great. Parking was a little tricky due to the city of Myrtle Beach construction project.

This property is so confusing. Parking was awful especially for disabled people. A lot of walking. I got bit by ants in my bed. Free breakfast but not a lot of choices.

The property was very clean and maintained in spite of the construction. I loved that the complimentary breakfast was located in a separate building across the street. It was easy to access. There is a sign posted to inform guests on the best time to dine: 0700-0800 (least traffic) 0800-0900 (moderate traffic) 0900-1000 (heavy traffic/expect to wait). There are several pools to include a lazy river, which was very refreshing and fun. The relaxing space on the lawn with chairs and yellow umbrellas is a great idea for those who want to be in the sun but don't want to deal with the sand. The onsite restaurant has a good menu with tasty options. All of the staff members I encountered were very professional and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.
