On the ocean. I had an ocean view room and the view was great. I had never seen a wrist band used asxa room key before. I thought it was to use the pool. It was not made clear to me that this device replaced the key cards. Even the folder given to me had a pocket for a room key, so when I got to my room, after msking a trip to my car for my luggage,I thought I had dropped the card and backtracked looking for it. The employee at the desk that day explained to me how to use the wrist band to enter the room. Ironically, I had tried to hold the wrist bsnd up to the sensor previously but held it up to the sensor wrong.Other than that issue, the resort is great. Not fancy, no microwave or refridgerator but nice.

Weekend Getaway
Staff was very pleasant; room was exactly what I booked (Ocean Front), and the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect and steps from the ocean. Breakfast was just okay; however, the coffee was good. Watched football from the bar and they had specials during the game. Our bartender was very pleasant attentive.

We stayed in an oceanfront standard room. Room was small, but clean and comfortable. Tiny balcony with extraordinary view of the ocean and beach. Probably all these hotels have big resort fees, but in my mind a small swimming pool/hot tub, a couple fire pits, beach access and numerous comfy lounge chairs does not make for a resort.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Strand! Great location and just a mile walk to the Boardwalk. Pool and hot tub were nice and we were told we could use the indoor pool at their sister hotel The Breakers. We went and checked it out and it had a nice lazy river! There were comfortable loungers to lay on and gaze at the ocean and 2 fire pits as well for the cool nights! Would absolutely choose to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. Ethan at the front desk went out of his way to correct some issues with our room. Due to asthma and allergies. He had the air conditioner cleaned . Very friendly staff , great location and beach front. Good breakfast included. Definitely would come again!

We went there on an anniversary trip. Check-in was a hassle because for most of the time there was only one clerk, and she was dealing with a problem. Finally, a manager came out, but we spent >30 minutes checking in. The room itself is an efficiency apartment. It is large and comfortable, with two balconies overlooking the beach. The carpet had some stains and pulls from a previous occupant, but otherwise everything was in very good shape. The picture is the view from the balcony. We used the pool and hot tub. The pool was perhaps a little small for the number of people, but then you have an entire ocean 50 yards away. The hot tub was nice. Breakfast was quite good, although a larger dining room would have been nice. We took breakfast back to the room one day because it was so crowded. The staff did a pretty good job of keeping the food stocked. Parking is in a garage across the street. There is very little room to maneuver because the lanes are laid out in right angles, but cars need arcs to make turns. Bring a small car! The location is very nice, right on the beach, with some good restaurants in walking distance. Overall, we had a good time and would stay here again.

Can’t say enough great things about this hotel!
What a wonderful place to stay. We liked it so much we decided to stay another day. As soon as we checked in there was a virtual assistant offering sent via text (ivy) Ivy checked in with us to make sure our needs were met. We used ivy to request an additional night of stay. Staff was out of this world! Restaurant on premise was great & offered a very complete complimentary breakfast daily! This hotel was steps away from the ocean & offered a private lounge area with pool, hot tub, tables, chairs, & fire pit area. Rooms offered beautiful views of the ocean. Would stay again anytime!

Our stay here was awesome and even decided to add an extra day. The front desk staff let us know that if we didn’t have any plans to leave the resort we could stay in our room until the other from was available. The only downside to the bathrooms in the rooms, the toilets remind me of toddler daycare (sales floor) type. I am tall and had to practically squat, these need to be updated.

WE MADE IT!!
I think the only problem we had was being able to check in early because their system was down. My mom is a cancer survivor and driving through hurricane winds and rain stressed her a bit. But they did let us go sit out near the pool for an hour and a half before they would let us check in. Evan did try to one up me but I work nights and completed 8 days in a row and drove through Hurricane weather just to get there.

One of the lady's at check in offered us a package deal to go to like Ripley's believe it or not and things like that and a $100 gift card go Eat 2;pep 69.99 but when she entered our names she said we didn't other words qualify for it....That really upset me and had me extremely MADD bc she never once said it's only if you gualify....

Great hotel! The staff was very nice. The pool is excellent and the beach is very accessible. The hotel itself feels very clean and it was very quiet. Rooms were mid sized and had a microwave and fridge. We walked everywhere with no car (we’re young though so walking wasn’t an issue). Your wristband also gives you access to other hotel pools. Would stay here again!
