The hotel is a beautiful historic building in the center of town. The room was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. I fell in the night and cut my head. I could have used some ice, but was not able to reach the staff. Also, the hotel is a 30 minute walk from the train station. It would have been nice if different options for transportation to the hotel had been posted.

Amazing small hotel near Amsterdam
This was our second stay in this amazing small hotel in Naarden. Great rooms, wonderful service, and a great location in the center of the Vesting (moated village). The breakfasts are fresh and great tasting. We'll be back and avoid the Amsterdam crowds.

Naarden is a picturesque, quiet village and Vesting Hotel is right in the center. The on-site restaurant is great (but so are other nearby choices). The staff was excellent.

The staff are excellent. Very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, small and friendly. The lack of bathroom toiletries were disappointing, no cotton pads, shower cap, body lotion, conditioner etc. Shampoo and body wash were the only products provided. The food was excellent and ambiance was great

Lovely Hotel / Great Location.
Great location in the middle of Naarden. Our room was spacious , had a great bathroom with a super shower and underfloor heating. Loved the toiletries- the soaps were so luxurious. Breakfast had a Wow factor, beautifully presented on a wooden board. However my husband would have preferred a help yourself buffet style. All staff were very friendly. However without a reception and receptionist my check out was not good. Wishing to pay part cash and credit card, the lady did not know how to do this. I then wanted to pay by another card, so I did not get a 3% handling fee. Whilst I gave her my card, my original card to guarantee the room was debited. I was then charged extra, not happy about that.
