Disliked: Cleanliness
Sunny location outside Nevada City and Grass Valley
Overall, it's clear the owner put a lot of love and creativity into designing the home. She is also a talented metal artist and showcases her work throughout the property. But, we would look for another location if traveling back to the area. Here is a list our pros and cons.
Pros: Nice distance to both NC and GV. About 10-15 minute drive each. The home has a nice A/C system and is in good structural shape overall. Fairly roomy kitchen that is decently stocked. If you like metal artwork or antiques than you would love the design. A nice walk in the backyard allows you to see the owner Ginny’s artwork and you can continue down the path to a canal hike. The deck is roomy and has a nice BBQ. It is in the process of having some boards repaired and the shade is broken so it’s a bit sunny during summer time. The area is also very quiet which is nice.
Cons: The house could use better upkeep and cleaning. When we arrived we noticed several things that needed attention and repair. Ginny was responsive and addressed these items. The main room’s rug was also very dirty and truly seemed like it had never been vacuumed even once. It wasn’t going to be cleaned so we moved it to the garage. The home itself is very sun exposed. So, being outside during summer time is very hot. But, the house itself has a nice A/C system. Overall an ok experience but we would look for another property if visiting in the future.
