A pretty old inn in a very attractive setting. We took the cheaper room which was quite small but adequate, with a nice bathroom. The Inn is in a lovely location and the restaurant looks excellent, but we had been in a car all day and wanted to walk, so we walked 0.6 easy miles into downtown New Canaan, which is super charming and full of hopping restaurants. My sense is that the restaurant is the core business of the Inn, with the rooms as a bit of an add-on. We left super early, and grabbed a coffee downtown to go, in part because we were told they have reduced the breakfast to coffee and pre-wrapped pastries "due to Covid". They should restore breakfast! overall, however, this was a great alternative to staying in a sterile prefab chain hotel, and scarcely more expensive. A good stop just a few miles of the Merritt Parkway, which is a great alternative to I95.
