Upon arrival the lobby was occupied by people yelling and arguing. Unfortunately it was a Holiday and I pre-paid online so the option yo relocate wasnt available. Upon entering the room it was filthy, trash and cigarette butts in the corners, the floor was gritty (not clean) and the general appearance was old and run down (I believe the booking photos were decades old). There was "NO" WiFi available even though the listing stated that there was. The beds had top and bottom sheets but no blankets or bedspread, i asked for a blanket at the desk and the answer I recieved was "most people don't want them so we dont have any" but i insisted so the clerk disappeared and then returned with one that was rolled in a ball, dirty and had at least a dozen cigarette burn holes. I then realized that there were no towels in the room so I again went to the desk, the clerk groaned and then disappeared again. When he returned he gave me 3 floor mats and said "thats all we have". I was exhausted from driving all day so I attempted to go to sleep but there was constant yelling, fighting, crashing and door slamming coming from the other rooms that went on all night. I got out of bed at 6:30 a.m. after an unrestful night, showered and left. Also there was no continental breakfast, again the listing stated there was supposed to be. I will never stay there again and recommend no else does either.

Must be the worst motel in CT
Honestly I have no idea how this place hasn’t been condemned. Frankly Choice hotels should be ashamed that they even own such retched hotel. Absolutely disgusting inside & out. Walked in…took a handful of pictures to show the front desk why I wanted a refund & walked out. Truthfully didn’t know places like what you see in the movies really existed. By far the worst room I’ve ever seen. I mean how is there white stains on the furniture. I’d be terrified to run a black light in anyone of those rooms let alone the one they tried to give me. Never will I ever stay there. Absolute joke. Beware! Not kidding!

The facility was dirty the customer service was horrible. It was no wash clothes or towels in the room the room did not have proper comforters on the bed the mirrors in the room was broken the refrigerator was burned and the whole room was out dated and it was constant noise and traffic. I will NEVER go back there or recommend this place to anyone waste if my money and time.

The property is not maintained. Our first room the key didn’t work. The door knob was falling off. The room was in need of a lot of maintenance. The second room was not any better. The AC did not work. The dresser drawers were in poor repair. The bathroom door was kicked in by someone and not repaired. Could not close the bathroom door. Mold in shower. TV could not play any channel and the remote back was missing and batteries were taped in. No coffee in the room. The continental breakfast was none existent. The room had roaches! The ice machine was in pieces and not productive!! I have pictures of what I said. The property should be leveled and rebuilt.

My recent experience at The Econo Lodge was nothing short of a nightmare, despite the fact that I never actually stayed there. Allow me to elaborate on why this establishment deserves to be condemned. The lobby itself was a glaring reflection of neglect. Dim lighting cast shadows over stained carpets and mismatched furniture that looked as if it hadn't seen a cleaning in years. One particular corner was occupied by a suspiciously large pile of what appeared to be discarded room service trays—an alarming sight that suggested hygiene is not a top concern in this hotel. I didn't have the pleasure of actually staying at The Econo Lodge , but I had the unfortunate experience of visiting a room that can only be described as a modern nightmare. As I stepped in, I was immediately greeted by the sight of a disturbing mirror on the ceiling, which seemed more appropriate for a questionable nightclub than a hotel room. It added an unnerving vibe, making the entire space feel claustrophobic and bizarre. The overall décor was dated and uninviting, with peeling wallpaper and a faint, musty smell that lingered in the air. The beds looked as if they hadn’t seen a decent cleaning in years, and the furniture appeared to have come straight from a garage sale. . If you're looking for a comfortable stay, stay far away from The Spectacular Inn. With its bizarre features and profound lack of hygiene or design, this hotel deserves to be condemned rather than recommended. Save your money
