The staff was amazing from check in to check out.... all staff was great! Shout out to the woman on the 11th and the young man in the cafe this am (12th) they were both great! They made us amazing food and were very polite and quick. We will be back if we are in the area again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We had a terrible experience at the Marriott in Goshen. We booked the hotel for 2 nights because it was close to Lego Land. Our room looked clean upon arrival, but smelled like garbage/sewage. Because we weren’t spending a lot of time at the hotel and figured the smell would dissipate after they cleaned the room the next day, we decided not to complain the first night. Big mistake. The next day after we got back to the hotel we discovered they never cleaned our room and the smell was stronger. My asthmatic husband complained and initially the manager at the desk apologized and said they forgot to clean our room and gave him extra towels. At this point between the smell and lack of basic hotel cleanliness we’re used to with Marriot, we decided not to stay the 2nd night. I went down to tell the same manager at the desk that we are having a terrible experience at the hotel and we just want to leave. At first she didn’t want to take ownership of the problem by telling me to email Marriot to complain. I told her that’s unacceptable. Then she said we’d have to take it up with Expedia. I pointed out that it was this hotel that didn’t honor its end of the deal by giving us a bad experience. I was very frustrated by then and asked for the District Mgr’s name. She claimed she didn’t know who that was. Throughout this exchange she incredibly tried to say I was lying. She then said to go get our things and leave. She effectively ordered us to leave. Incredible.
