Very family friendly amenities, and the (unheated) pool was enjoyed by the aquaphiles in our group. Location is central to Russian River and Sonoma Coast. Scenery is breathtaking, and people welcoming.

The staff was refreshingly friendly and made us feel bery welcome/celebrated on my birthday weekend. Cozy clean rooms in the redwoods. Surroundungs are beautiful and just a10 minute drive to Bodega Bay.

This is a cool little motel tucked away in the forest. Nothing fancy, but clean, and decent, and comfy bed. It even has a pool, but it really was way too cold to use it. The morning there was magical: The morning mists washed over the hotel in waves, a flock of little CA quails burbling and peeping made their way through the parking lot, and the caws, squawks, and hoots of birds and animals rolled down from the tree tops. Plus there's a coffee shop just 250 feet away.

Good place to stay in Occidental-needs minor TLC
Good location and overall facility. A/C in room was noisy. Shower leaked water around base of doors when used. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Parking lot fills up on weekends.

We had a two room suite. The size was great, it’s basically an apartment from the early 80’s. Unfortunately it’s really run down, like holes in the walls, huge cobwebs, peeling paper etc. the furniture looks cute but is crazy uncomfortable. There’s not any paper products(like a stir stick for the coffee). It was quite and spacious.

I booked for two days but I had to check out next morning due to the issues below. I checked in on Thursday on but the room was facing the street with the balcony where people were walking in front of my window. I had to close the blinds . I was not able to sleep due to the smell of bleach . I checked out 8 am as soon as they opened their office. I need Hotels.com to redound me for thd 2nd day as i dud not stay. I had no phone number to call Hotel.com to cancel.

The Staff were nice and great people. The room immaculate only 7 miles from beach but only 2 restaurants we could find. But I was quoted 154 with tax and fees included and Experian charged me 185. I don't know why.

The town is so cute. It’s a shame this motel is such a missed opportunity. It has potential but shabby is an understatement. The wallpaper was peeling at almost every seam, literal cobwebs in the bathroom and in the window, crusted dirt on the nightstand. It just really gave an icky impression. Not sure where the rooms are in the photos but room 104 needs updating BAD!

This is a beautiful, well taken care of property! We wished we were staging longer to wnjoy the area, but our adventure only had us there briefly. Ths pool was great after the car ride and the syaff was so friendly and helpful!

The first room we were put in (109) smelled really bad so we asked to be moved. After a bit of shuffling the receptionist changed us to a similar room which was perfect for us. She was really helpful. This lodge is in a wonderful position. All the restaurants, bars and shops are within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was polite and professional, & helpful with my questions about places to eat in the area. The property & room were, clean, quiet, comfortable and I felt safe. I would go back again.

Breaks my heart a little but the property is in need of renovations. I hate to even leave reviews like this but I haven't stayed here in a few years and the place has really gone downhill. They are doing a decent job of keeping it clean and it was quiet and safe but it is very basic motel and needs an investor.
