Casa W Olhão is a concept of 3 eco-friendly fishermen's houses.
They are located right in the centre of the old town of Olhão.

ALMIRANTE is a beautiful fisherman's house in the heart of the Barreta district, the old town of Olhão. 2 bedrooms (bedroom 1: 160x200 bed / bedroom 2: 160x200 bed or 2 80x200 beds), 2 bathrooms and 2 roof terraces offer an exceptional view of 2 parts of the city. There is also a summer kitchen located on the top floor with its barbecue.
Casa W Olhão ALMIRANTE has all modern comforts, including WIFI and air conditioning.
The story begins like this, a long time ago, the Barreta district of the small town of Olhão was inhabited by families of fishermen and merchants. The main catch of this little corner of the Algarve was octopus and sardines that the fishing families dried on their rooftops. Today, Olhão is still the largest traditional fishing port in Portugal, and the Barreta district retains its soul of yesteryear.
One of his houses, Casa W Olhão is located about three hundred meters from the sea, surrounded by other houses of the same type. Renovated, it has two bedrooms, each overlooking a different little street, and two bathrooms. It is comfortable and on the top floor, you have the choice between a terrace with a beautiful living room and deckchairs, and another with a barbecue, another seating area and a table for dining.
This family home is divided as follows:
On the ground floor, the living room, the separate kitchen and a shower room.
On the first floor, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a pretty balcony.
On the second floor, the summer kitchen opens onto the terraces on each side. You can enjoy the beaches during the day and, at nightfall, take a stroll along the gardens facing the sea. The bars and small restaurants are open all year round.
We will provide you with some personal addresses. To make your stay as pleasant as possible, we have provided everything you need: TV with cable channels, WIFI available on all floors and even on the terraces, card games and dominoes.
In your bathrooms: towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper and hair dryer.
Amenities in the rooms: sheets, pillows, duvet, hangers, built-in wardrobe, ceiling fans, air conditioning, safe.
For the beach, a basket with beach towels, an insulated backpack, ice packs in the freezer, umbrellas and a set of rackets. On the terraces, deckchairs, a comfortable lounge and a large umbrella on one side to relax and on the other side the terrace with the pergola to enjoy the shade for breakfasts and lunches. The barbecue allows you to grill beautiful vegetables from the market, fresh fish and meat from the hills. The summer kitchen is equipped with a small fridge and a sink, the barbecue is on the terrace. In the kitchen, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, kettle, orange squeezer, espresso machine, hand and dishwashing detergent. Washing machine and washing capsules. Reversible air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms. Iron and ironing board. Smoke detectors. Fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Heating. Ceiling fans in each bedroom and in the living room.

During your stay you will stay in touch with your host if necessary who will always be available. You will be welcomed by your host. We are flexible to ensure your check-in coincides with your flight arrival time. However, we cannot guarantee this. On your departure day We set the departure time at 10:00. It will be possible to leave your luggage in the house while it is being cleaned in agreement with your host, allowing you to make the most of your holiday.
Casa W Olhão ALMIRANTE is within walking distance of the famous covered fish and fruit and vegetable markets, shopping streets, small restaurants and cafes, but still quiet in the small traditional cobbled streets. Ferries to the islands of Armona, Culatra and Farol are also within walking distance. Free parking is available on the street, right in front of the house. The house is located in the heart of the city, you can do everything on foot. The train station allows you to go to other cities in the Algarve and to the Spanish border. Faro Airport is only 13 km away. A car is not necessarily necessary. You can also rent bicycles on site to use the Eco-Via which allows you to travel along the entire Algarve coast.

The tourist tax applied by the city of Olhão since 19/06/2023 will be requested upon arrival in cash (10€/person/stay from April 1 to October 31 or 5€/person/stay from November 1 to March 31)
