Great Spot!

Perfect for 4 not 6
We booked a room for 6 but arrived to 2 queens and a couch that should pull out but was broken and the mattress completely stained and in bad condition . The pull out frame was bent so it could not be used. We were provided a twin rollaway but one child had to sleep on the small couch cushion. Breakfast was a bag of snacks which was nice but there were supposed to be hard boiled eggs and there were only 3 total for the whole hotel. The manager was very nice but our room was not comfortable for 6.

Our family of 4 enjoyed a magical Thanksgiving get-away at the River’s Edge and loved it! There are 2 24 hour hot tubs right on the river. The owner, John, takes great pride in his place and works very hard. What a gem of a place!

Ouray my favorite destination, very close to all the dining and shopping options. Not anybody at the front desk if you are checking in late or leaving early so plan for that.

I was disappointed. I planned my whole trip on staying here because of good experiences on stays there before when two gentlemen ran the place. They have since moved on and I noticed a difference. They used to have a wonderful breakfast, now you get a grab bag of not much in it, I stayed in a very dark room under the stairs near the laundry room and was too warm. The owner and his daughter were nice, but the place wasn't as nice and the experience wasn't as good as I had on previous stays.

I liked it here. I wouldn't say it's a five-star facility but I gave it five stars because although the room is a bit outdated and could use a little maintenance, the property is beautiful. They have 24-hour hot tubs. We got in late and they didn't make a big fuss, just left a key and a map in the office and we let ourselves in which I appreciated. The area is beautiful and waking up and seeing those mountains, you can't beat it.

Overpriced but a beautiful setting
This hotel was good but not great, and felt over priced at $200 night compared to other similar properties. Room was small, clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly. We were on first floor adjacent to stairs so there was a lot of noise as people went up and down the stairs to their rooms. Breakfast was bagged continental style including yogurt, granola bar, piece of fruit, and hard boiled egg. The highlight was the setting which was beautiful along the river with surrounding mountain vistas.
