Tidewater Beach Resort is a great family resort with lots for kids and adults to do on property and nearby. Great Amenities! 3 pools 1 is indoor. This is a very nice condo but the owners need to fire the cleaning crew. Molded shower curtains, front of oven door filthy, cabinets and baseboards in bathrooms brown with dust. The main living area was clean. Broken dryer plug in one bathroom. Otherwise, I’d stay there again. Great outdoor furniture.

Family Get Together

We love staying at Tide Water. Have stayed there a few times for our yearly family get together. The Condo was great. Only problem I saw was there need to be a little year end Maintenance need to be done. Some of the lights were Flickering. And the floors were nasty. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful place to stay!

This condo was a lot bigger than I expected and the balcony was HUGE! We had the perfect view of the Ferris wheel and the pier on our balcony! I love that there are two huge pools. I will definitely be booking again.

Property was Ok at best, floors were not clean, reported many items broken or not working the first day and they came to somewhat repair them on our last day there, furniture outdated with many stains, beds were good. Still had a good time but will not stay in this room again. Not the room’s fault but will not stay at Tidewater anymore, second time staying here but the elevators are a complete nightmare. 30 minute wait between elevators if your lucky. Actually my family was stuck in elevator 7 for 30 minutes before management got them out!

READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING

I highly recommend reading all reviews for this unit before booking.. The entire unit needs some serious maintenance. The biggest issue that we had was the floors being completely disgusting. So bad that we had to wash our feet before bed. I honestly dont think they have EVER been mopped. I had my 7 month old with us and I didn't ever put her down on the floor - but, the couches didn't look much better. I recommend bringing extra laundry detergent because the more you find in the place, the dirtier everything feels. Overall our stay was amazing and the views were phenomenal. There was the air show during our stay and it was great viewing from the balcony. The company told me we could check in a couple hours early as long as I gave a 5 star review for customer service. We asked to stay an extra day and they asked if we would consider leaving a 5 star review and if I did, they wouldn't charge the credit card fee. The cleaning lady showed up on our original check out date and said she was never told we extended the stay. Also, I sent a long email with all concerns and NEVER heard from anyone.

Good location, large condo

We were given three different door codes, the last one given didn't work so we had to look back at older emails and found a code that worked, this was at 11 pm. The garage gate code that we were given also didn't work, thank goodness some guy came in behind us and used his wristband to let us in. The furniture pics on the VRBO app aren't the same, different furniture and flooring. The ceiling light in the bedroom on the other side of the kitchen wall went on and off at its own leisure. Other than these few issues, we really enjoyed our stay and the condo!

First vrbo

Not as personal as renting from an individual but it was good. AC restricted to 73 as low as you can set it. Would have been nice to have it a little cooler. Housekeeping wasn't all that. We cleaned the place up when we got there and left it much better than when we got there. But it was vacation at the beach and overall not bad. Have stayed in much better at the tidewater and much worse too. My elderly mom and dad had a great time away and that's all that mattered. I'd give it a 6 to 7 out of 10 and I'd rent it again.

Spring Break with family

We love the location! The size of the condo was wonderful. Very disappointed with the condo. It was dirty, the back bathroom shower was awful. The dishwasher was broken. The elevator situation was terrible. Several broke down during the week. We really like Tidewater but if they don’t update the grounds we are going to stay somewhere else. I hate to be negative because we did have a great time!

Not the best one at Tidewater

The unit is not being deep cleaned. For example dust on fans and lights, mold on shower curtain and extreme dust under furniture. The 4 flat screen TVs advertised do not work, after parting out pieces we ended up with one working TV. The bunk beds are situated where the outside hallway light shines directly into that bed and there are no curtains to block it out. None of the units widows open so please be aware. The sliding glass door that requires someone very strong to open and shut goes out to the balcony on the side of the pool. There is no access to the balcony to from any bedroom. The crack in the floor that I read on pervious reviews is still there. This is on the transition strip in the middle of the unit and caused a tripping hazard. We purchased duct tape and placed it on the floor to prevent a fall. There were only rusty baking sheets and muffin pans. We purchased new ones and left them at the unit. The closets in the unit are all full of stuff for the rental they were not usable by the occupants. Also, several bathroom/bedroom doors didn't lock. After the first night I emailed regarding some of the issues we had. I never received a correspondence back, however, a representative from the cleaning company did just show up the next day. She brought bleach to spray shower curtain. The other remained half hanging on. She also brought dishtowels and silverware that were not there. I never heard from the owners or anyone else about the issues or follow up

Family Vacation

This could be an absolutely great place to stay with your family. However, when we arrived the condo was quite dirty. Let me say that I completely understand this property is on a beach and there will be sand because of that. The floors were so dirty if we wore socks they needed to be changed, and we needed to wash feet every time we left or went to bed. The disappointing thing was I sent an email to the property management about this the first day and never got a response, at least some sort of acknowledgment would have been nice. Once we spent time getting things cleaned up, it was a great layout for a family and we had lots of fun in the pools and on the beach.

Less than expected , very dirty

This unit is potentially a nice unit and the amenities of the Tidewater are really nice, but this unit was extremely dirty all beds had sand in them and soiled linens on the bed, the master has an unchewed piece of nicorette gum under the fitted sheet. The floors were so dirty that all our socks were black on the bottom as well as exposed feet, this unit hasn't been thoroughly swept and mopped in some time. We were a family group of 9 staying there and had depended on the pull-out couch as a sleeping option but it was broken and we could never get it to pull out into a bed. Also, there was loose and unattached threshold pieces that separated the kitchen and living areas that were very dangerous for all of us as a falling hazard. This unit needs some work and a DEEP CLEAN BAD!

Family vacation

Wonderful place. Wonderful view. Cleanliness is something to be desired. Dishwasher did not work at all....but willing to wash everything by hand. Underneath the beds need to be cleaned. I found an empty water bottle, contact container, child's syringe underneath dressing with broken drawer. Daughter found a few bugs in her bed. Shower curtain in back corner bedroom with jack and jill bathroom kept falling off hooks that did not work on the upper track...so shower curtain kept falling off. Other bedroom had mold on inside shower liner. Huge stain on blue couch. Definitely need new silverware. If 10-12 people should stay there, more eating space. Overall we loved the view and the corner balcony for view. Thank you.

Great location and great view

I was not going to write a review but was told that I should by several friends because of the experience. I will start off with the positives. It had a great view and was in a good location. Elevators weren’t bad but we stayed the week of May 13 so before it was crowded. The condo was ok but needed some updating. The worst part of our stay was the filth. I had to go buy tilex to spray on the shower curtains because of mold and funk, I went and purchased a mop because the floor was so dirty that when we walked barefoot, our feet would be black. I had to wipe down every surface because there was grime everywhere! This is the worst experience that I have had with cleanliness of the condo. What is bad, they charge a cleaning fee so you should not have to go in and spend a day of cleaning to get it clean. Since it was so filthy, I was scared that they did not do anything. There was grime on the cabinets and walls everywhere. I had to wipe everything down so we could enjoy our stay. I did not report this once we got there because I did not want them coming in to clean after we checked in. I figured if I did it then I would know it was all done right. I am not one to complain and I would just mark it off of my places to stay but I wanted the owner to know that they need to look into this.

Functional but needs some work

We had a great time on vacation! The condo was still fully functional it just needs some updates. The beds being the main thing needing an update. Also, the cleaning company is a little lacking but nothing that was so bad we needed to contact the rental company about in my opinion. They need to update the pots and pans as well but still have some in the room
