The property is VERY clean. The staff is amazing and always so friendly. The beach was beautiful, and even the vendors on the beach aren't ever rude. The restaurants are sometimes a bit hard to get into but they are all good.

Absolutely phenomenal resort, from the resturaunts to the rooms to the service. Top notch all around, truly a must stay when traveling to Puerta Vallarta. Thanks for an amazing time!

Incredible service and staff. The guy who runs the bar cart is awesome and makes delicious drinks, as well as the rest of the staff. Yummy coffee and food as well. Alex from La Toscano was our favourite server.

Desde que llegamos asta que nos fuimos todo estuvo increíble. Toda el personal muy atento y amable a las necesidades del huésped. La variedad de comida y venidas muy amplia y rica, los restaurantes muy buenos, las habitaciones súper acogedoras y limpias!, al igual que las demás áreas del hotel.

The facility is nice, the service meh...
The resort itself was very nice. But upon entering our room, one of our clean towels had a hairball wrapped up in it. And then when calling for room service it never showed up twice that we called two different nights.

BEWARE OF THE MOLD mildew smell that will make you very sick! Not sure if this is just the older rooms or what but we had room 2004 second floor and there was black mold spores on the baseboards and only god knows where else, the dresser drawers reek of mildew so I didn’t use them. EVERY single item we had with us and brought back home smells of mildew that won’t come out of our clothes or items it’s INSANE!!! Makes me want to cry in agony. The food all looks delicious but it’s NOT, most everything lacked flavor or taste, the ingredients used are super poor quality. Dont even bother with the restaurants. After every meal our stomachs hurt. ;( Be careful at the pool bars, the cups they use for drinks don’t even look sanitized or washed. Use the do not disturb sign on your room or the maids will rush in whenever they please and help themselves to your room. Overall it’s a “cool” looking property but after a few days of being sick due to the food and grossed out by the overwhelming mildew smell in your room and throughout the palace… you’ll want to leave.

Very nice. The property is super clean and Recently remodeled. This is the nicest RIU we’ve stayed at. Loved the adult only atmosphere. Steak restaurant was great. Buffet was average. Loved the sports bar. Rooms were nice and very clean, best of all the bed was super comfortable. This property was a bit small than the RIU in Cabo which we liked. You are closer to everything at the resort. Lobby area in the evening was nice with specialty cocktail cart every night. Definitely would recommend this resort.

The newly renovated Riu is gorgeous. You can easily get a drink at a bar and you are greeted with a smile. We always feel safe, walking down the beach and running on the path in front of the hotel. It’s fun to get a massage on the beach. We like Heather’s food near the pool so you don’t have to completely dry off and go to the buffet if you don’t want to. The nightly buffets had really good food.

First off, we had the best service every by Kristel in the coffee shop. She was so unbelievably friendly and she really helped make our experience! The property was very clean, I found the caliber of food far superior compared to many other all inclusives that I've been to and everything was updated as they renovated in the last year or so. Only pieces of feedback is that we did wish the pool was actually cooled, it was between 33 and 34 degrees outside while we were there and the pool was the same temperature as the air, not quite as refreshing as we would have hoped. They also did not have any umbrellas at the beach for the people that weren't in the exclusive club. And finally, their nighttime shows start a bit later, I believe around 9 pm and the volume is so loud we heard it from our room the entire 1.5 hours the show was happening. Also just a flag that you won't really be able to walk to a ton from the resort but it was still great and we loved our time there. Will definitely be back!
