Not up to Marriot standards
We have stayed here a couple of years ago and had such a good experience that we chose it again. This time however it felt like a different hotel. The person checking us in was not welcoming, not mean, just indifferent. Zero customer service.
We had an issue with the lights when we first got in our room. We knew about the main switch but it wasn’t the issue. They seemed to have a short in them because they eventually came on when we weren’t touching the light switch. It was a weird start. Then to noise of the AC unit. It rattled and whined intermittently. The whole return would vibrate. I resorted to turning it off completely and then restarted it when absolutely necessary. Next, my son’s sheets had maybe a 4” V shaped tear in them. He didn’t want to deal with them coming in to replace the sheets so I let them know about it when we left so they would hopefully not reuse them again.
Overall, the place felt unkept. My son asked me, “what happened to this place, it was so nice before?”
The upside is that it has a decent gym and it’s walkable to the campus and to any restaurant on Franklin. Also, I liked the shower set up. Those are the perks.
