Beware of parking
If you’re staying here and have a car to park….BEWARE there are specific places in the garage to park or you will be towed. Some are labeled No hotel, some are labeled residents and some not labeled and then lastly there are some labeled “hotel” in red. They will tow you and they won’t notify you even with tag hanging in car. That was very disappointing. I got in super late and sent to the garage to park and didn’t get a heads up on this. So letting you know since front desk may not tell you and there is no sign at check in or the front of garage. Front sign says you’re in the right garage! The tow company says it happens a lot but Aloft management isn’t responsible since it isn’t their garage. And there is another sign on the side of the post but not the main entrance. Unfortunate and costly part of my trip.

neat, funky, clean hotel I did arrive after midnight to check in and the door was locked and I didn’t see the front desk person anywhere. So I kept pushing the buzzer for help and waited for about 10 minutes and then I see the front desk person get up off of the couch and come and open the door.

We received fantastic service upon arrival and throughout our stay. I mistakenly reserved the wrong date via a 3rd party reservation system which was resolved quickly & resulted in a lower rate! Enjoyed nearby shops and only a short ride to UNC and Franklin Street.
