When we arrived the property had NO POWER from hurricane Helene storm, was told to contact Expedia for Refund, NO REFUND GIVEN...Ripped off over $300

Surprisingly not bad
For a cheap hotel this wasn't bad. Stayed a week and normally I'm paranoid about the atmosphere around me these establishments have. But it was quiet people weren't bad and it's literally next door to a big gas station and a culvers. It's still a cheap hotel but i would keep it a option

Stay at the motel on October 9 2024 check out October 10 left at 6a.m came back on October 17 2024 was about to check in the general manager came out the office rude telling me that I was DR which if it was explained to me and a decent manner I would have been okay with it but his his behavior was very uncalled for and if you're reading this I'll need corporate telephone number not because of the DR but the way you act very unprofessional

A reservation does not guarantee a room here....
I booked a room and upon arrival I was told that my reservation was canceled due to the hotel being overbooked. I then paid a higher rate at a neighbor hotel because it was last minute.

Motel 6 was an okay place. It was convenient to Carowinds and had a good price for the one night we needed. The staff at the desk, housekeeping, were very nice and welcoming. The room was okay, clean, at least, but the whole 3rd floor had overwelming smell of smoke amd the door handle to our room was broken. The beds definitely need an upgrade. The mattresses are worn and sagging and not a comfortable sleep.

My prepaid reservation for 2 days was canceled without informing me. I arrived after a long and trying trip to a receptionist who said they did not have a room for my daughter and i. He said there was nothing they could do but my money should be refunded in no more than a week. Then proceeded to check in the gentleman who was standing behind me.

Room floor was sticky throughout, heavy staining on walls. Back door key card didnt work so it was unlocked to the public. Room door card very hard to use (took ~20 tries to read card). In other room smoke alarm went off and nobody responded.

The hallways have a strong smell of urine that's overwhelming. Our room had a musty smell There were only 2 towels for 3 guests for a 2 night stay they claimed to be out. No maid service for multiple night stay. While no one bothered my family, there were a lot of sketchy people loitering around outside.
