Extremely weird experience! I arrived to learn the manager had cancelled my reservation, claiming I was lacking a number from my credit card entry performed online? Eventually, proving to him it was correct, he then said he did have a room but wanted me to use a different credit card. Fine. But there were many notes taped to the glass partition at the check-in counter, one claiming that the credit card machine was out of order and not working that day; but, lo and behold, it worked for me? But, the room had the filthiest shower curtain I've ever seen in my 40 years of working in the travel industry! Plus, only a sheet and a filthy bedspread and no blanket when it was below freezing outside? Thankfully, only one night and I survived and a noisy room heater blasted through the night hours.
