We have stayed at this Hampton Inn several times. Most recently I stayed there in April and my husband and I stayed there in September. When I stayed in April, the room was clean, smelled fresh, and was very nice! When we stayed there in September, the room was dingy, didn't feel/smell fresh, we had to hold the toilet handle down in order to get it to work and the room just felt like it was in need of an overhaul compared to the one I had before. The real problem that I have with this hotel is the man who works the front desk. I had him both times and he is NOT a good person to represent this hotel line. I have read countless reviews about this hotel and countless people have complained about this man and, yet, he continues to be employed as the "first face that you see" when you get there. He greets no one as you are checking in, doesn't ask how your stay was when you're checking out, and heaven forbid you ask him a question. You will pay for it with a curt reply and a bad attitude. The one time that I stayed there, I had a question concerning my reservation and he basically chastised me for it, told me that he couldn't help me with my question and that's "what I got for booking through Expedia and that maybe next time I should book directly with Hampton Inn instead." Sorry, sir, it's none of your business how I book my reservation. Customer service is NOT part of his vocabulary and he really should be in a behind-the-scenes position there.
