Hotels in Safaga are thin on the ground. However, you can take your pick of 16 comfy digs within 30 kilometres of Safaga's centre. Just consider the drive a little extra sightseeing!

After waking up in your comfy bed at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay and The Westin Soma Bay Golf Resort & Spa, it won't take long to get to Safaga (as long as you don't hit that snooze button too many times!)

If you're still searching for somewhere to stay and none are up to par, you could try the SENTIDO Palm Royale or the Sheraton Soma Bay Resort. The first is 19 kilometres away, while the second is 20 kilometres away. Cover your bases by also checking out The Breakers Diving & Surfing Lodge, 20 kilometres away.

Attractions and Hotels Near Safaga

Sahl Hasheeh is located 40 kilometres to the north of Safaga. While here, be sure to have some adventures at Makadi Water World. Sahl Hasheeh contains some comfortable places to stay, including the Premier Le Reve Hotel & Spa Adult Only and Fort Arabesque Resort, Spa & Villas - All Inclusive. Alternatively, you may wish to stay in El Quseir, 75 kilometres to the southeast of Safaga. While in El Quseir, take the time to visit El-Quseir Fortress. The Rohanou Beach Resort and Ecolodge and Fanadir Hotel El Quseir are great places to catch some rest in El Quseir.

On the last flight to Safaga? Completely worn out? Then it's probably wise to find somewhere to stay near the airport. The Sol Y Mar Ivory Suites and the Rivoli Suites are just short cab rides from Hurghada International Airport, 60 kilometres from the centre of town.

As a solo female, I was apprehensive about my first visit to Egypt, I couldn’t have felt more welcome at prima life. From the moment I arrived; the staff went above and beyond. The food is absolutely delicious, during my stay, I ate in all of the restaurants, and can safely say the food was absolutely heavenly and safe. A big thanks to gomer for the delicious omelette and gaber for the pizza! I highly recommend the seafood restaurant, a big thank you to Ahmed for always keeping my drink topped up. The beach bar was fantastic and knew my order after just a day. I could comment on the food all day - just make the most of everything on offer as it really is delicious. My room had a couple of lights that didn’t work and the door had to be slammed and double locked but this wasn’t really a big issue for me but may be for someone else. The bed was made every day but the bathroom cleaning sometimes lacked and I had to ask for a clean cup and more tea / coffee in the room. These are minor details though. I see the gym every other day and found the facilities great - yoga mats would be a great addition though. I only found the rooftop bar cafe makadi on the last day which was a shame but it didn’t seem to have a serviced bar at the time anyway. Great views though! The spa was amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed my massage by aza but be careful if you ask for strong pressure! The reception staff we very helpful and kind at all times, a big thank you to them! Excellent stay!
