Kula Maya is definitely the highlight of San Marcos, having the most excellent views and a friendly staff. The town is very charming and much more enjoyable than some of the busier towns on other parts of the lake. The restaurant has great food and a nice high-end bar selection. Prices are quite a bit higher than anything in the area, but the atmosphere makes it very worth it. The rooms could have been better-sealed to keep wind and bugs out, but I guess it can't be perfect in an eco-friendly resort in paradise. Definitely worth staying here, highly recommend.

Absolutely loved staying here. Everything in the room was perfect, from the bed, bathroom, and even having filtered water. The large windows with the natural light really made it feel so amazing. I will be staying here next time I come to visit. Oh and having the amazing rooftop and doing a yoga class up there was just incredible.

Super cute tropical oasis with amazing view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Nice comfortable rooms with patios and cute pool. A short easy walk from the center of town, in a quieter spot. Incredibly friendly and accomodating. Can't recommend enough. Hope to be back soon.

Absolutely loved this place. So so cute, clean, quiet and relaxing. The staff is so accommodating and sweet, they were always asking if they could get me anything. Food is SO GOOD. Best juices I have ever had in my life. The stairs around the property are killer but it’s worth it for the views, quality and price. Can’t wait to come back!

This hotel is right by the water and have a private beach. It is 10 or 15 minutes walk from the city could be a little bit difficult walk at night.
