Quite old and rundown, but clean and well maintained. Doors/walls not soundproof at all. Sound from road noise and pubs travels and goes on to midnight (my stay was Friday and Saturday overnight) Parking on site is free-for-all.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is just across the street from the water. It is close to many restaurants and coffee shops, yet the neighbourhood is quiet. There is olenty of free parking onsite too. We had an oceanview executive room on the first floor which looked recently renovated and was large. Reception was pleasant and checkin was easy. I took one star off because our room was right across from the elevators so I could hear it at night. There is also no safe in our room which should be standard.

Like a lot of Townsville, dated,stuck in the eighties/ nineties. Cd player in room ,very dated decor. Townsville, the town time forgot.Hard to see how they would justify yhe millions they need to spend on it to bring it in to the 21st century.

When I went to check in there was one gentlemen was the desk on the phone, I stood at the reception for 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to come and greet me, I could see people in the back office, finally a young girl came out, took my license, gave me a bit of paper and a key and said there you go. I asked about room location, where I could park, she just said "out the back". Very poor greeting. Our room also ws dated and needed a bit of TLC or renovation.

The hotel was nice and affordable. Close to enough restaurants also. The room was as to be expected and clean. Great views. Only negative would be the mini fridge didn't work properly and took 3 days to get our drinks cold. Definitely need a replacement. Other than that we had a great stay.

Mould growing on ceiling asked for another room told sorry booked out Iā€™ll get someone up to look at it - never happened - room was well cleaned but really needs a makeover, chipped bench top gritty old bathroom and definitely not up to standard of other rooms I have stayed in here

Was not allowed to sit outside on balcony and smoke. If room left with excess rubbish would be charged for cleaning. Iā€™m a housekeeper and have never heard of extra charge for cleaning. Did not feel welcome.Gad to pay to get a towel to use in pool. Should be supplied. staff never spoke even when we left. Wasnā€™t even asked if we enjoyed our stay. Very sad as such a beautiful spot with amazing views. Wouldnā€™t recomnend. I could keep going but I think thatā€™s enough
