I'm a Hilton Honors member and 99% of the time I'd book directly via the Hilton App. On 10/19/25 I was bumped from my flight so had to spend a night in SAN. Since I have accumulated some keycash with Expedia, I went ahead and book a room for 1 night via expedia. The receptionist at the front desk did not look too enthusiastic and seem as though she's bored and would rather be somewhere else. I informed her that I'm a Hilton Silver member and requested a couple of complimentary bottled water. I was told that since I did not book via Hilton, they can't give that out. She told me I can get water by the coffee station. When I reached the station the water container was empty. She then told me that she'd fill it up later and that there's filtered water by the workout room. I was able to refill my water bottle there. I'd also requested for a breakfast to go since I have an early flight to catch the next morning. She told me she'd make a note to make sure there's breakfast in a bag for me to pick up. The next morning, the morning said he did not receive any note from the night shift receptionist. I'm totally disappointed with the low service level at this property. One good thing about this hotel is the airport shuttle service.
