Carson Valley Motor Lodge was a great experience.

On Sept 17, 2024, my family and I awoke to a ceiling that leaked heavily in three different places at 2am in our room 183. The night gentleman was able to get us into room 171. The next day as i checked out, i mentioned this to Zenaida and she or the night gentleman never apologized or empathized with me for the unfortunate incident that occurred the night before. As someone who deals with customers on a daily basis, showing empathy or apologizing for a terrible experience is basic level customer service. It's sad to see that Holiday Inn failed to train their staff properly in providing a world class customer experience to their guests.

This is a really good hotel. Clean, well maintained, friendly staff, and nice perks like a welcome bag with water bottle and chips. The rooms are spacious, bathroom is comfortable, and stocked with supplies of good quality and quantity. They have a pool and fitness center that is well maintained. They did so many things well except the following: the mattresses are uncomfortable, the floor squeaks, and the noise level is not intolerable but definitely higher than one would like. These are a bit jarring but while the hotel is great overall, if you’re a middle aged person like me who’s picky about bed comfort, it might not be for you. The price though is competitive and for what you get, competes favorably with other hotels in the area.
