Welcome to Swan Lodge

Blocks away from charming downtown Saugatuck, you will find this beautiful contemporary rustic home set on the Peterson Nature Preserve. Panoramic views of the nature preserve give you the feeling as if you have escaped from everything, yet you can walk to all that the downtown has to offer.

INSIDE THE HOME
The charming log interior with soaring ceilings and open floor plan is so warm and welcoming. A wonderful retreat with a fully stocked kitchen, large dining table, spacious living room and a large stone fireplace for those chilly fall and winter days. The main floor also has a full bath and laundry area. A spacious screened in porch off the main floor just adds to the charm of this home.
The master bedroom is lofted on the second floor so you can enjoy the beautiful views of the nature preserve. You get the feeling as if you are in a tree house! It has an amazing master bath with all the bells and whistles. And a large seating area with a queen sized sofa bed for snuggling up with a good book. You can also take advantage of a private outdoor deck right off the master area.
The lower level has a wonderful tv area that also has beautiful views of the nature preserve with a deck the is at the base of the preserve. Great for watching wildlife. There is also 2 bedrooms and a full bath on this level.

Christmas in Saugatuck

Overall we were very happy with our stay at Swan Lodge in Saugatuck. We were able to stay near family for the Christmas holiday. The lodge felt like we were part of a Hallmark Christmas movie and we loved the big windows looking onto the nature preserve. There were a couple of minor hiccups (driveway was not cleared and a little icy, and the water in the upstairs tub came out rusty), but the managers were responsive to our feedback.

Fall weekend get away

The house is beautiful and set on an amazing piece of property. The kitchen is large and well equipped and a great place for the whole family to hang out with a gorgeous view of the woods. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend in front of the fireplace and enjoyed all that Saugatuck has to offer in great restaurants and shops. Would absolutely stay here again.

Wedding weekend

Great location

This was a great place to stay. It was close enough to walk into downtown Saugatuck yet we had deer to watch out of the living room windows behind the house. Stayed with two families of 4 and had a great time.

Wonderful Accommodation for a Family Trip

Swan Lodge was a great place for a family weekend. It was a roomy, inviting house that worked well for our family 8. The area is great, and most restaurants/shopping are within walking distance. We will definitely visit the area again and would love to come back to Swan Lodge!

We enjoyed our stay in Saugatuck. The place was very clean & in walking distance from downtown Saugatuck. Only downside was the number of beds. We had a group of 10, but some were stuck on couch or air mattress.

Great time at swan lodge - group of female friends for a quick weekend. We enjoyed the space, had morning coffee and played cards by the fire with the views of the colorful fall trees, explored the towns (saugatuck/Douglas), hiked, and ate well… and a very cute walk to town too!

Walkable Modern Cabin

Plenty of room for 3 adult couples looking to get away for a long weekend, have independent activities, and drivable access to the beach. The location of the home provides travelers with flexibility and the home is equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable relaxing trip. Wonderful stay in Saugatuk!

The house was so clean and comfy, and it was nice to have a big kitchen and great room and three full baths. Loved the grill and screened in porch too! Plenty of space for ten people, but the two pull out sofas are very uncomfortable so the sleeping is really only comfortable for 6. I would suggest bringing an air mattress or two if you have 8-10 people.

Great stay for a delayed family Christmas

Blizzards at Christmas caused us to wait until February to travel “back home” from Minneapolis, to celebrate with our parents, uncles and aunts. What a great place to enjoy with our adult children for dinners and gatherings with local family and exchanging gifts with a blazing fire in the fireplace. A couple of initial issues were taken care of by Madison, straightaway. The home is spacious but cozy and was perfect for our visit with many areas for some “me time.” Even in the off-season, walks to downtown for morning coffee or to visit shops and restaurants were fun and enjoyable. Great place to stay in West Michigan any time of year. Thanks!
