Had 2 lovely nights here great food at the waterside restaurant. Fish and chips highly recommended. Tap room and selection of Whisky unbelievable can easily get carried away . The Craft beer is excellent especially the Forrest Dweller .

Absolutely the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Scotland, what a wonderful experience! Their restaurant is fantastic as well.

Really good hotel, room was clean and tidy. Room was warm and had a comfy bed! Pleasant staff and a good continental breakfast!

We booked two rooms. The one the kids stayed in was lovely and cosy. Ours was freezing. Despite the staff saying they were on it, I don't think a fix was even possible. The beds were clear and comfortable. The hotel building is marvellous and all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. I think it would be great for a family with primary school age kids. There are loads of board games; a pool that, isn't lifeguarded but also isn't too deep (it's a bit cold but kids don't usually mind that). It's a very short walk (5 mins to the main street) but you need to negotiate some muddy steps - no good for a family with a buggy or mobility issues. We had a fantastic stay.
