We had a great time at the Wilderness! We have stayed several times in the past, but this was the first time staying at the Stone Hill Lodge. As always, our stay was comfortable, and our kids had a blast at the water park!
We loved that it included access to THREE water parks! The soaky mountain water park was awesome, not super crowded and much better than Dollywood splash country! So worth the resort price

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
I have bad knees & requested a room close to elevator / lobby, but that was not noted on my stay. So our room was several long corridors away—think the hotel in The Shining. No signage made things hard to find, and overpriced, mediocre restaurants had random hours not posted.
We stayed at the wilderness to use the many water parks. I called the hotel a couple times before booking to check on the locations and ask questions about the sizes of the water parks. As soon as we areived I got a text message saying the indoor park was closed for the week for scheduled maintenance and repairs. No one mentioned that in the 3 previous calls I made. I called 3 days before we stayed. The stone hill lodge was not the nicest. The carpet in the hall was very bumpy and looked like it was coming up. Our bathroom in the hotel room was very moldy. The ceiling had mold all over it. We parked in the parking garage one night and noticed there was broken window glass all over so we ended up moving our car for safety purposes. We called housekeeping for extra blankets which the front desk said to do when we checked in. They said we would need to go back down to the front desk and get them ourselves. When we went to the front desk they had no blankets but were able to give us an extra set of sheets. The second night we called housekeeping again and they said they would bring us blankets and then they never showed up. Although the hotel was close to soaky mountain (which we loved) we would not stay there again. Maybe the other buildings of the wilderness were nicer but not the stone hill. Way too much money for what it looks like. We have stayed at many water park hotels and this was by far the worst. My kids even commented about the way things looked.
