I was very disappointed with my most recent stay at the Sonesta Select. In the past, we have had good experiences at this hotel, which made this visit especially surprising. Unfortunately, the room was not clean upon arrival. The curtains were visibly stained, the floors appeared not to have been vacuumed, and the doors were dirty. The sink had not been properly cleaned, and there was hair found in the beds and on the pillows, which was extremely unsettling. Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel, and this stay did not meet that standard. I hope this was an isolated incident and that cleanliness improves, as we previously enjoyed staying here.

I reserved two rooms for one night. Both of the rooms bathtubs had leaked quite a bit from the faucet. The walls are not very noise-proof. I could hear my neighbors talking and laughing until 1am. The staff was very welcoming and the check in/check out process was quick and easy.

Staff was friendly but there were several issues. TV didn’t work & there wasn’t any maintenance staff on duty to fix it. Flickering hallway light that was either an electrical issue or a bulb that needed to be changed out. Again, no maintenance staff on duty to fix the issue. Breakfast was listed as an option for the property but no breakfast actually available at the property. The staff recommended a deli down the street. Overall cleanliness was substandard too. I would not recommend this property to anyone & will never stay there again.

Room was nice but amenities were disappointing. No food on site, not even a continental breakfast. Extra charge for parking was a bit excessive. Where were we supposed to park if not at the hotel? This is Camarillo not LA or NYC where space is a premium. Probabaly wont stay here again.

The fitness room didn’t have a good selection of weights, the mats were shedding, no towels and one of the treadmills was not working. Also, we paid for a package that included breakfast but were told at check-in the restaurant was closed. Only 1 packet of coffee was provided. Walls were thin…neighbors were night owls.

The room was okay, although the sink was very slow in draining, there were no washcloths provided, and the morning after Christmas the housekeeper was knocking persistently on ours and other doors at 8:15 in the morning. We forgot the "Do Not Disturb" sign, but still...
