Double charged customer.
The hotel charged us extra fees for parking and breakfast. We stayed for three nights, but they billed us for parking for five times, double charged each day after the first day. My son went to breakfast, but we decided to eat out instead. He informed the cashier that he did not eat breakfast, yet we were still charged for his meal. While driving to the airport, we had to turn back to resolve these billing issues, and they admitted that there were errors in the charges. We travel frequently, and this was my first negative experience with a resort vacation because I felt I couldn't trust them. As a result, I had to check the bill line by line. The hotel did not provide a worry-free experience during our stay.

Horrible!!!
Every year I take my family on a Tahoe Christmas vacation. This year we chose to stay at Margaritaville due to its non gaming dog friendly amenities. With that said. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in my 8 year coming to Tahoe. Upon check in clerks were rude and didn’t want to accommodate any of the VIP amenities that were given to me when booking my stay. Was told by the front desk they have the right to refuse VIP services if hotel is at maximum capacity (Wish I would have know that before booking the hotel). Now to the rooms. When checking into our room we had no heat. Called down to the front desk and they had a tech come out to the room to confirm the heat was not working in the room. Front desk switched us to another room and we did not have heat in the new room. Talk to staff said there was nothing they could do but could offer more blankets. When checking out I spoke with the rooms coordinator Max who was very helpful and understood our frustration. He offered to comp breakfast and wave the dog fee which was a nice gesture. But with that said I will never go back and stay at Margaritaville again. For almost $500 a night there are better options with friendlier staff and better restaurants. Would Recommend Harvey’s or the Golden Nugget if staying in Tahoe.

The hotel is nice, newly renovated, and within walking distance of the Heavenly Gondola, shopping, and dining. While the hotel itself is 5-star, the valet service is closer to a 3-star experience. They double-charged us during our stay, but thankfully, I reviewed my receipt in person before leaving. Max at the front desk went above and beyond to resolve the issue promptly and even waived the resort fee as compensation for the inconvenience.
