The open-concept design of our living spaces makes our beachfront condo a bright, warm space for your family to spread out while still staying connected. Whip up your favorite meals in our fully-equipped kitchen, lounge on our wrap-around couch while you watch TV, let the VIP in your group prop up their feet in our recliner, and watch the sunrise over the Gulf of Mexico from our private beachfront balcony. Our two bedrooms, plus a pull-out couch, will sleep up to 6 guests. PS: We've left some goodies for you and your family to use while you're here: tennis rackets, boogie boards, beach chairs, and an umbrella! We even stocked up on sand toys for the little ones! Suntide II Condominiums is located on sunny South Padre Island - the best beach in Texas and home to first-class family vacations. Thanks to its family-friendly amenities, you and your family will forever remember staying at Suntide II. Fill your days with competitive tennis matches on our street-side tennis court, strolls to the Butterfly Park next door, splashes in the pool, soaks in the hot tub, and chit-chats on the sundeck. When you're not using the endless amenities at Suntide II, ride on the bike bath or free Island Metro just outside our door. Take a minute to walk down the block towards the bay and pick up your souvenirs at Ocean Motion, then have fresh, locally caught seafood at the local favorite Blackbeard's, and end the evening next door with Italian Gelato at Dolce Roma Cafe. Suntide II has direct beach access and a pool deck rinse station. It is also situated between two Public Beach Access Points. Next door to the north of the parking lot, you'll find Beach Access #16 Neptune Circle. It has public parking and a boardwalk with stairs. If you prefer beach access without stairs, walk through the Butterfly Park next door to the south of the parking lot.

Very nice 2-month stay, Our Honest Review!

Even though this is an older unit, everything works and it was CLEAN (amazing!) and fairly well stocked. The beds were comfortable, the lighting in the unit is great, the bathrooms are spacious with lots of room and storage. The master shower is nice with plenty of water pressure. We liked the spacious kitchen, and most items you need to cook are supplied, although we did purchase and leave a ladle and potato peeler. We also added (and left behind) a couple door mats at the front door and patio door so we didn't drag dirt into the unit. It would have been nice if a vacuum cleaner was supplied, but we've learned from past experience and brought our own. Even though the unit is mostly comfortable, the old green sofa in the living room has seen better days and needs to be replaced. They apparently put a piece of plywood under the cushions in a feeble attempt to get more life out of it. Although you don't go to the beach to watch TV, we were here for 2 months and would have appreciated something larger than a 42" TV in the living room. We were squinting trying to watch sporting events from across the room, and there sure is plenty of room for a more substantial TV. The internet connection and WiFi are good, but we did have to reset the older router every few days. We loved the pool and sun deck area, as well as our balcony overlooking the Gulf. Would we stay here again? Definitely yes, but it would be nice if a few of the issues I've mentioned were addressed.

The property was outstanding and was everything we could have asked for. The location was ideal. The pool and hot tub were exceptional ! I would definitely stay here again, however the fees and service charges that are added should be eliminated!

Superb Location

The property is located right on the beach. The condo was clean but a little bit older. Super nice that you could exchange towels and bed sheets every day if you wanted. There were beach chairs and a cooler to use which was nice. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella right on the beach (I think the cost was $35). Many great restaurants around. Mahi Nic was amazing food. Calacas was great Mexican food. Louie's Backyard was on the bay side and had fireworks at 9:15pm. Blackbeard's always has lines but good food. The BEST dessert was THE BAKED BEAR. Ice cream smooshed between two warm cookies and toppings. Beyond Delish! We stopped at H-E-B grocery store in Port Isabel to stock up on groceries and water before the bridge. Did the Dolphin Tour and saw lots of Dolphins well worth the $20 ticket. Was a great vacation for 4 adults. Enjoyed the clean soft sand the ocean. Highly recommend.

Nice oceanfront condo

We loved the balcony overlooking the ocean. Beautiful view of the sunrise every morning. The furnishings are adorable, but the condo building itself is kind of dated and old, but the owners have done a nice job of updating this unit. The only negative is the smell, I’m not even sure what it is, maybe just stale air. The windows don’t open to allow fresh air in, so we tried to leave the balcony door open to alleviate this. The building is currently under construction, which only bothered us when we tried to use the pool. Overall a great place to stay.

Wrong Location

I specifically rented a condo oceanside in the center of the island.The day before they informed me that our balcony was being repaired and our access to it would be locked but we could still enjoy the view.My opinion the view I would enjoy would be the repair people.All the restaurants and activities were closer to my first choice back in September so I had issues being told the day before arriving that we would have no balcony overlooking the ocean.We had to rely on Uber or the free shuttle which takes at least a half hour or more for it to come and it closes at 9:00 p.m.It was i interesting that on one ride the driver and friend were dumpster diving on the way.To make up time she almost caused injuries to the passengers going over the speed bumps at top speed.I did contact VRBO but never received any feedback.I felt that we should have received some compensation for all the extra taxis we had to use.Also we had no welcome package in our condo- we had to pick it up ourselves and I had to clean the shelves where we were to store our food.This condo said it was recently updated.If so they bought old bath second hand bath fixtures.
