Just don’t.
The bed was worn out. Like in the 1990s. There was a visible 3”sag. The floors were filthy. The shower mat was black with foot prints. There we dozens of small touches like the coffee maker cord being to short to plug in to the fridge open the wrong way and not All the way that made anything larger than an apple impossible to put in and then you just had to grab around to reach. But the absolute tops what the room spelling like sewage. Every time you walked in—even if you left the exhaust fan running. 10/10 could not more strongly recommend ANY WHERE else.

Although they advertised for free breakfast, it was a brown bag with a yogurt& apple in it. Their one & only ice machine was “out of order”. They told us we could go to local gas station & buy a bag of ice if we needed it! There was supposed to be a restaurant on premises as well, but that was closed. Room was a bit outdated, along with a wall HVAC unit that did not work, but was still there. We met another couple who was staying there and they had the Lodge spray twice for roaches they saw in their room!! Pioneer Lodge is advertised way better than it is!!

The Lodge was a perfect location for us to enter Zion. The owner/operator prepared breakfast bags for everyone which was very kind. We also appreciated being able to park at the Lodge while inside Zion.

Met all our basic needs. Room was clean, microwave worked, refrigerator worked, extremely hot water so be careful. Internet came and went as far as the television and the a/c worked fine when I realized to turn it off of eco. Travis at the front desk was extremely professional and courteous. If you leave before they open in the morning, you can ask for your breakfast bag the night before. It came in handy for early morning hikes.

The outbuilding near the pool and rear parking looks like a shack and detract from the overall appearance. Exterior stair tiles are broken off. The lobby could use an update.

I liked the quiet despite fronting the main street. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was great. Restaurant recommendations were spot on. Area was walkable. Need to add vending machines.

The room was clean and the staff was nice but the air conditioning was terrible. They don’t want you to set it below 70 (it’s super hot) and the air conditioner sucks anyway. Even if you set it below 70 it barely runs and you can hardly sleep because you’re sweating. Won’t be staying here again just because the heat was terrible.

Requested adjoining rooms, our group received rooms in entirely different buildings! One couple in motel room, one couple in small cabin. Not rooms as advertised. Good dining available nearby, but we probably should have done more research about this location. Don’t think we’d choose this again.

Perfect location. Close to restaurants, grocery,park entry and shuttles. They have a great packed breakfast which includes yogurt, oatmeal, breakfast sandwich and an apple.
