First time staying there. Friendly courteous helpful staff who took time to talk to me while checking me in. Stayed there for a family funeral with other family members. I enjoyed coming back to my hometown and feeling welcomed. I would stay there again.

When I booked this hotel I was not expecting a mint on the pillow, but I was expecting at least as nice as a baseline Marriott. Not exactly the experience I anticipated for the price. I travel a lot and not even having a glass for a toothbrush in our room was odd. The rooms are so barebones and I feel like this is something you should be explicit about to visitors. Also, we asked for housekeeping everyday and they never took out the trash or removed cups or dishes and there was a residual coffee stain outside our room (not from us) on the floor that was cleaned during our 3 day stay. Additionally, there were dingy marks on the white bedding and some splatters on the shower curtain. The stay felt more equivalent to a private room in a hostel versus a boutique hotel experience. The pictures are not reflective of the space itself. The staff was exceptionally nice and lovely, so I feel this is more reflective of ownership versus staff.

We were visiting several friends in the area and wanted to bring our dog; not only is the Ellery pet-friendly, it's friendly, convenient and comfortable. We had everything we needed and there are some beautiful trails and dog runs nearby. We will definitely choose the Ellery again.

Only negative I have is couple above our room must’ve lived in a barn I’m a big guy and try to walk cautiously at night not to disturb.these people kept walking as if walking with boots till about 1or 2 am. Not hotel’s fault some people are just unique lol. The bed was very comfortable,hot water in shower,tub combo.i didn’t do breakfast but even after hours tea and few items available if needed.

Great breakfast, wonderful check in & out
The room was great, exactly what I expected and nice. Nothing lavish or opulent but was very nice. Very nice shampoo and toiletries The breakfast was AMAZING and I really really really value that. The nook is very cute and the food was to die for. Check in and check out was seamless, I didn't talk to a single person and had no issues. Which is super nice for quiet solo travel.

Have stayed many times while visiting friends or attending events ( we lived in area for 27 yrs..now retired in CT). MUCH improved since last stay as new carpets, flooring installed. Ez parking, walk to Smith or downtown..nice comp breakfast in am . The walls could use a paint job but very friendly greeter at desk ( with cookies a bonus!) made up for that. Comfy bed & little refrig in room nice

Room wasn’t cleaned the first night even though requested.,second night towels were replaced and bed done.HOWEVER, TRASH WWAS NOT EMPIED AND ROOM WASNT SWEPT PR THINGS NOT PICKED UP FROM THE FLOOR.?no extra roll of toilet paper provided until asked. No barsoap.?Bathroom tiny and no space for toiletries. No water, coffee or tea in the room. No working fireplace though advertised. This is a motel type hotel. Absolutely no charm. And bad service The location is good and bedding was passable.

Unless you are visiting in Northampton getting anywhere in the vicinity is difficult and time consuming due traffic and pedestrians.
