This is a great property to stay at. It’s right on the lake and the balcony has an impeccable view! The lake right behind the hotel is a bit dirty with seagull/goose droppings but that’s to be expected with the amount of seagulls/geese around. The room was very spacious and clean! The pool was nice! There’s 2 hot tubs and a sauna but one of the hot tubs were out of order when I stayed. The breakfast was okay, similar to most continental breakfasts.

Upon arriving the staff was pleasant. Regular room keys which I didn’t mind. Our room had a door on the main floor to walk right out to the beach which was the best part. Broken chair and tissues on porch. Room looked nice and updated and clean until I went into the bathroom. I am a housekeeper myself and would have sent my girls back for all of the hair left on the floor. It wasn’t a little it was a lot. I don’t think the floor was swept or mopped,so I mopped it with soap and a washcloth, and wiped everything else down just in case. The bottom of the toilet was also dirty, and between the beds wasn’t vacuumed. I was disappointed because these things don’t take long and make a huge difference in being comfortable. The beds were hard and hurt my ribs. Ultimately we stayed our two nights because of the view and lack of other hotels available. Kids were disappointed they couldn’t use the pool because it was cloudy. Again, thankful for the beach and the view, we made the best of our vacation, and the staff was very friendly.

It's pretty dated. The beds were like sleeping on plywood. Very uncomfortable. The staff was friendly. One of the hot tubs was out of order. The other one was in a little area that has soaking wet carpeting on the floor. Gross.

If you’re handicapped, this is not a hotel you can stay at. There’s no elevator and they still have authentic room keys.

One maintenance person was swearing while me and my kids were packing the car, which is just not appropriate at a family hotel. We stayed there two years ago, and the property is more run-down since then. One breakfast bar worker noted that the owners did not want to pay for some upgrades, including electrical in the breakfast room and a new pancake making machine (which stopped working multiple times while there). The main lobby staff were friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival we were informed that the hotel was short staffed and no in room cleaning services would be required, ie trash cans were not emptied, no fresh towels, no service items replenished (coffee/tea/shampoo etc). The breakfast was only open between 7.00 and 9.00, the pancake making machine was either not operational at all or broke down each day we stayed. There was insufficient space allocated in the breakfast area for the number of hotel guests. When discussed with the hotel management team they basically shrugged their shoulders and offered no response .
