Had occasion to stay three days at the Breakers. Property has a private beach on the lake with several amenities such as nightly bon fires, volleyball, and assorted beach toys. The room was large with 2 queen beds and room for a rollaway if needed. A big benefit was the attached restaurant with full bar given limited restaurants in the area. Bathroom was a bit small but clean and housekeeping cleaned room daily. Great place to stay if visiting Mackinac Island with the kids as rooms and property are kid friendly. I believe there is also accommodations for dogs if needed. Definitely recommend for short or medium long stays.

Would Stay Again
We would definitely stay at Breakers Resort again. It was clean, had a great view of the lake, and was comfortable. The hotel and rooms is a bit dated, as well as the interesting jacuzzi-tub in our room. They have the tub but then no amenities for it (bubble bath, a working light over it, etc). The room was sparsely furnished like they took furniture out over time. Overall, it was quiet, comfy and clean, can't go wrong with that.

Had a great stay here. Only issue we had was the parking seemed to be inadequate for the amout of rooms. I had to park at the end on a row one night as all the spots wee. Not a huge deal but enough to mention. Also the drinks in the club restaurant were way over priced. Beer was priced well but he mixed drinks were $12 to $16. A bit excesive in my opinion.
