Step back into 1989
If you want to stay in a ski condo that is EXACTLY like it was in 1989, then by all means stay here. Everything from the furniture to the disturbingly old photos of the owners is exactly like it was in 1989. There is a random kayak hanging from the ceiling. The bedding, the dishes, etc are all about 30 years old. The grounds are nice, but I would suggest saving your money and staying at the Sheraton or the Grand or anything more modern. I actually googled the guy who owns the #10 where I stayed. He's 80 and obviously doesn't come to Steamboat any more. I would guess by the decor that nothing has changed since 1989.
But it's not just the dated decor. The upstairs bathroom is ridiculous. It is so poorly designed that I would guess that a bathroom on a submarine has more space.
The design of the building also contributes to the ability to hear every single thing from your neighbors. The master bedroom window opens up to the entrance to another condo. So you can hear every sound from your neighbors as they enter and exit their condo. But that's not the worst part. Your neighbor's bathroom is directly above the master bedroom and you can actually hear every sound from their toilet. Obviously there is an insulation problem, but I also blame the design.
This place is ridiculously dated and needs a complete remodel.
