The hotel itself was OK. The staff was very nice. The only issue was the only food that was really available was out of a snack machine and a drink vending machine on the first floor and they were both broken so there was no option for anything to drink or to eat unless you wanted to leave the hotel.

The hotel was well maintained. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was really good. We enjoyed our stay there. Keep in mind though, if you are a light sleeper like me, that the traffic on the highway next to the hotel does get a little loud.

This place was great! We were on a fishing trip in nearby Shelbyville and stayed in Effingham which is about 30 minutes away. The hotel and room was clean, updated and quiet. So many restaurants and stores right in that area. My kids also really liked the pool and hot tub.The hot breakfast was great to come back to after some sunrise fishing. I would highly recommend Country Inn and Suites to anyone staying in that area and we plan on staying there ourselves again real soon. Great fishing in Shelbyville!

This property is older, but well maintained. Only drawback is that it is located close to the expressway. We got around this by requesting a room on the back side of the building, away from the highway, and noise was not a problem. So, if you can get a good room location, this is a good value at $20 to $50 less than other properties in the area. Good breakfast too! Try "Gabby Goat" restaurant for good, reasonably-priced food with the locals!

A Great Stay
I had very good service during my stay in Effingham. Clean and quiet rooms were offered as well as a full breakfast every morning that was clean and well-stocked.
