I’ve been a guest of this hotel for many years, returning after some time and noticing the decline of this beautiful hotel. The rooms are falling apart, wallpaper coming off the walls, broken appliances, dirty bathrooms and linens( especially the pillows that were filthy), and outdated appliances and furniture. The only things that saved our visit was the restaurant that has continued to keep making very good food, Peter the waiter was very attentive and courteous and the repairman and his son were very helpful in relocating us from an original room that was less than desirable. We are very dissatisfied with what has happened to this hotel and are hopeful that the current owners dedicate more time and resources to bring this hotel back to its original glory.

Liked: Staff & service
The property needs some serious updates. The shower curtain rod had been replaced, but there was no effort to fix the area where the old rod was. That best describes the property. It’s clean enough and updated enough. It snowed while we were there and the parking lot was not properly plowed. Staff were very friendly. Expedia said the hotel was closer to our venue when it was actually further away. The hotel is up a very large hill if you are traveling in the winter months and it snows.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was clean and all the staff was super nice and helpful. The restaurant had really good food and was a nice chill atmosphere. The hotel is kind of dated could use a remodel and only one elevator was working. But other wise we had a nice stay at the chateau
I’m all for a unique hotel, perhaps from 1930’s. I feel really bad leading this review bc the staff was very kind n helpful. When i stepped into my room and walked down that long sketchy corrider, i wanted to run!!!!!!!!!!!! The shower head was not fully attached to the wall neither was the bottom faucet. The water did not drain bc you couldn’t push that knob down. The room was freezing when we got in and the sink faucet was also broken. The bed looked alright i did check for bed bugs. The long dark cold corridor was SCARY! Yea i wouldnt recommend this place and i will NEVER go back. You definitely pay what you get. Luckily it was one night! But the staff was friendly n i told her about the bathroom. I really wish they would renovate and pull those old carpets out. I thank the staff for being kind. Obviously the grounds is not their fault.
This resort needs basic care… the shades need to be fixed when you walk in…the carpet needs updating. It was very average….clean enough but could have been a lot better

The Elevator needs to be fixed but other than that I enjoyed it
If you're looking for a convenient place to stay, this is a great option. While the property has an antiquated charm, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, making for a welcoming experience.
This place has a great location but is pretty much a dump. The rooms are very outdated. You can see that they've invested some money in certain parts of the property. It was okay as a place to stay before hitting the slopes the next day.
There were a few positives. There is a sauna. The pool was warm. The woman working at the front desk was nice. I avoided the restaurant and bar. The TV at the bar wasn't on, and the atmosphere there wasn't welcoming.
