This was our second stay at this hotel. While our first visit was fantastic, this recent experience has left me uncertain about returning. The room itself was clean, but we experienced an ongoing issue with the toilet repeatedly filling with suds—staff said it due to its proximity to the laundry room. What was most disappointing, however, was the boat dock reservation process. One of the main reasons we chose to return to this hotel was for the dock access, but securing a spot turned out to be a hassle. I contacted the hotel well in advance and was told I’d be added to a list, with no confirmation until closer to our arrival. A week before our stay, I followed up again and was told no spot was available—only to later be assigned a very shallow dock where our boat would hit bottom at low tide. To make matters worse, several dock spaces remained unoccupied throughout our visit. It’s also concerning that dock spaces are being rented out to non-hotel guests. I strongly believe that hotel guests should be given priority for dock reservations, especially when that amenity is a key reason for choosing the property. The staff are friendly and make an effort to be helpful, but at times the service lacked follow-through. I requested extra towels and tissues multiple times and didn’t receive them until I went to the front desk myself. Overall, this stay fell short of the expectations set by our first visit.

I have never reviewed a stay before, but after our recent stay, the time has come. Our gripes in some sort of order: no air conditioning, the external appearance of the premises by no means matched the Expedia picture, poor quality toiletries, no facial soap, paper-thin walls and ceilings, no glasses, only paper cups and China mugs, bath drain would not seal, bath faucet damaged and bath could not be filled without shower on (how could maid clean the bath without noticing), TV would not turn off, only one mirror over bathroom sink, fake cacti! Not much value for $419.41 CDN.

Beautiful view from the balcony. Place is showing it's age. Wardrobe in the bedroom was in such a difficult position we didn't even try to use it. Way too many stairs as well. Think there are better choices in Ucluelet.

We came here with a family of 4. I had read in other reviews about noise- and that is true- there is very minimal insulation in the rooms. BUT I got lucky because we had good neighbours on either side of us. The communal kitchen was great to use! We made a few of our meals in it and met some travellers. It was a nice interactive touch. We would stay here again!
