It is a lovely inn located in the village of Elk Rapids. The management is friendly and attentive. Essential amenities were available to guests. The two stone fire pits were an excellent addition for guests to gather and unwind in the evening.

So beautiful and quiet. Staff was so polite and ready to help ! Fire pits and fire wood outside. Also beach access! So beautiful. Plus two farms to shop for fresh goodies right across the road.

Cute motel, loks like they are trying to remodel it. Room with 1 queen bed was small, bathroom was tiny. I think they have a water softener system so be sure to nly use a tiny amount of shampoo! There were 2 new fire pits but no wood. We were told to go buy some. No ice machine either. There is a beach with a small section that was not private property, it was a 10 minute walk down a street. Oh, because its surrounded by Orchards. there are lots of fruit flies so keep your room door closed. Ask for a fruit fly trap for your room, they work!

So this is an old fashioned motel. Just like the ones we stayed at when I was a kid (I'm 65). It was close to where we needed to be. We stayed for 6 nights. Good things: -The room was clean -the beds were comfortable - the rooms had been recently "freshened up". The flooring was relatively new, as well as the tiling on the wall in the tub/shower. Old fashioned pink tub that looked great. - friendly greeting - when the hot water was working, it was nice and warm Now the bad: - I had to ask for anything we needed. Toilet paper (!), soap, shampoo, etc. - no one ever came in to empty trash, freshen up the room, vacuum, tidy beds, refill when we needed tp, towels, etc. I had to ask to have the trash cans emptied, and it STILL wasn't done. I had to put it outside the room for someone to pick it up. - towels were cheap, small, thin, and some were stained. There were a couple of dark towels that had bleach spots. - sometimes the water temperature wasn't consistent. Hot, then cold. They were probably doing laundry... For $300/night we should have had nice towels, trash taken out, stuff in our room refilled, and the room refreshed. And you shouldn't have to ASK for toilet paper! I've never stayed in a motel that didn't do those things. I wouldn't stay here again.

Hidden Gem of Elk Rapids
Everything went great; check in was super quick and easy, as was check out. Brand new beds were SO comfy, and the remodel of the rooms is quite lovely. Everything was very clean, neat and tidy. The sitting area outside with fire pit was great to hang out at, and enjoy a quiet evening with our family and friends. Elk Rapids is 2 miles away, and the lake is a 10-minute walk directly behind the resort. The only issue we experienced was the mini fridge developed a leak, and there was no ice available onsite. An ice maker would be an awesome addition for an even more hospitable stay.

Generally, we look for a franchise stay. But I have to say we were so impressed with this quaint little motel. Very friendly staff. Very clean. We slept better here than we had slept 2 nights prior. 1 option made that possible, a regular blanket!! :-) Something regular hotels/ motels don’t offer. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations!!!!

Clean room! It looks like the motel was recently renovated! Very charming! The only thing we didn't like was the water in the shower and the bathroom sink, which had a strong iron/metal smell and taste.

It was a nice small place loved the outside setup the only downfall is the beach is full of rocks so we couldn’t enjoy that
