Great value home with lots of space inside and out.This cottage has been in the same family for years and was recently completely renovated. New furniture, fresh paint and a whole new cottage!
Two bedrooms with two full baths each with stand up showers with ledge; no tubs. This is a great family home! Pet-friendly with a fenced in yard. Fabulous patio and the screened in porch is like another room! Easy 4 block walk to the beach. Ground level makes this a very easy home for our older guests to get around.

Tybee fun!

We love coming to Tybee so when our friends wanted to plan a group trip we found this place near theirs and we're very happy with it. The layout is odd but it didn't bother us at all. Communication from Mermaid Cottages was amazing and fast. Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot to bring your furry friends on Tybee

It was a very cool little spot and perfect for bring pets since it's fenced it. Awesome location even without dogs as it's close to some cool restaurants and bars on that side of town.

The place was even better than we expected, the customer service polite and prompt and very accessible. LOVED the house.. pretty, lots of great decor details, very comfortable clean beds and furniture, generously stocked kitchen, laundry, & baths, great shower size and water pressure, lots of hot water, our 2 pooches felt very welcomed and considered, yards fun, and of course very nice neighborhood. We were there in July and wished we'd booked longer than our 3 days. There were several very intense thunderstorms that were fun and comfy to observe from a cozy safe inside. My 8 year old granddaughter has already claimed another visit at the exact same house.

A memorable Birthday 🎂

Adorable older cottage. Clean and stocked with everything you need. The porch was wonderful for the games and wonderful conversation and celebration for my birthday. The dogs really enjoyed the fenced in yard.

Very nice well maintained, just around the corner from the beach.

Rented this property for our yearly vacation with our grandson. It was clean well maintained. Close to the beach and shops, screened in porch for playing games. It was great!!

Great location! Close to the beach and the park. Everything you need in the kitchen for making meals. Spacious living room. The yard is fenced in, great for our fur babies. We surely will be back!

We loved the cottage. Check in/out was smooth with no problems. The only thing negative is the air conditioner had to be kept at 72 degrees and with 95 degree weather, it was not cool enough.

Pleasantly surprises

Diane was awesome we had a couple of concerns about the property but Diane and her group was always there to help with a resolution. The walk to the beach was quick and the best restaurants was only minutes away. This property is pet friendly my yorkie had a great time in the back yard but the screen porch needed some minor work. And I think with most rentals the mattress could be better. But overall I would do it again. Thanks to all Mermaid Cottage staff your the best.

The listing didn't make it clear that in order to go from the Queen bedroom to the living room/kitchen you have to either pass through the King bedroom or go outside to carport & re-enter through main door. Wasn't a problem for us, but some might not like the arrangement. On the other hand, being able to enter Queen bedroom from carport might be a plus for some. The screened porch is awesome. Plenty of parking

Girls weekend getaway

The house was cute and decorated very well. Had nice towels in the bathroom. Loved the outside screened in porch. The outside area needed some attention. The hammock was worn and tattered. The outside area was muddy and needed some landscaping done. If you are expecting to bring 6 people the max adults be prepared for a very tight living quarters. The host was wonderful checking on us. Overall a wonderful stay. Would like to stay in one of the other cottages closer to the beach.

Very nice home, would gladly rent again!

Upgraded to much nicer, larger property , for same price. Management had champagne and a nice card for our 50th anniversary. Good people! Also, owner gave us an extra day, no charge! Over the top nice!

Wonderful beach cottage for our family & dog! Easy walk to the beach, restaurants, stores, etc. Screened in porch is great for eating at home & avoiding crowded restaurants. This was our 2nd time staying at the Fun In The Sun beach house & we can't wait to go again!

Perfect getaway in paradise

Tyne has been our family destination for years now, but this is our first time staying with Mermaid Cottages. Fun in the Sun was the perfect spot for our family! Cozy, super cute, and close to the beach; the screened in porch was our favorite! Would definitely recommend!

Dirt and Ants

A cute little rental, but... When we first walked into the property I saw a piece of carmel-corn stuck to the floor of the living room, swarmed by ants. My wife noted the floor felt sticky. She put on a pair of clean white socks which became filthy after one walk across the living room floor. Never had a problem with any of our other three rentals in Tybee.
