Tybee getaway

Loved the location. It was quiet, peaceful and we felt right at home. It was colorful and perfect for our Easter vacation. Our only complaint is the queen beds were awful. We spoke to the owners who advised they would look into the issue. They are super noisy and we did not sleep. Everything was as pictured. We would love to come back if the beds get changed! The game room is musty like a basement but my husband and daughter didn’t mind.

Annual Christmas at Tybee

Clean, spacious and great yard for the dog. Small but well stocked kitchen, though we didn't do much cooking. Would definitely recommend.

Please delete "game room" from this description. No one could withstand the mold and mildew or smells , even with all of the humidifiers they had to stay inside to play on the pool table. This room was in terrible condition and disgusting as i assume it has been flooded. My daughter's eyes were swollen shut and we had to take her to the emergency room for an epipen from this (yes i have proof). We left the house early on the day after thanksgiving and did not stay. The upstairs was great but do not advertise there is a game room as this is very misleading to what you actually get.

quiet and convenient

The home was quaint and laid out in such a way that everyone had plenty of room. The large dining table was perfect for meals and games. We didn't even turn on the TV b/c we were enjoying Tybee and Savannah.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tybee. Both Tybee and Savannah were great and the house was just as described. I set up an office downstairs so I could also take care of work. We had everything we needed and if any questions came up we got a quick response.

A place to stay while on vacation

A very active and used rental during the summer as shown in the guest log. The day we checked in the previous renters just departed. You definitely need to use your car as the property is nestled in a neighborhood thats farther away ( non walkable) from the beach and shopping .

Great getaway for a couple or the whole family, including the fur babies!

The Pelican Getaway, with its three bedrooms and two baths, is perfect not only for couples but also larger families and groups of friends. And its enclosed yard is perfect for the four-legged family members. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay! There's A LOT to do in the area, even in the winter. We toured Savannah's historic downtown, The Wildlife Refuge Center, Bonaventure Cemetery, Wormsloe Plantation, Skidaway Island State Park, Fort Pulaski, Tybee Island South Beach, Cockspur Island Lighthouse, Tybee Island Light Station and Fort Screvener. And our son participated in The Blue Orb Ghost Tour (his favorite so far). Needless to say, we arrived back "home" at Pelican Getaway every night exhausted. It was so nice to come back to this lovely little bungalow with its full kitchen and comfy sofa and chairs rather than a sterile hotel room. Better yet, we saved a lot of money by having breakfast and dinner at the bungalow - although we made an exception and dined at The Crab Shack one night - excellent decision! Will definitely stay at Pelican Getaway the next time we travel to this area!
