I specifically chose this place instead of a large chain in order to help local businesses. Upon arrival I went into my room and within 10 minutes one of the staff burst into the room and I understand that it may have been the mistake. It was very uncomfortable. When I went to the manager, although she had agreed that it was unfortunate she was cold and acted as she was just sweeping it under the rug. After it happened, I got a very weird feeling that anyone at any time would come into the room so I decided to leave. Not without pushback the hotel manager at first was stating that no refund would be given. Thanks to Hotels.com. I received my refund and stayed at another location. I was trying to get something for nothing. I was not trying to hurt a small business but when you're resting in your room and somebody said no matter who you are, it's an uncomfortable feeling that I was not willing to deal with , a very limited day off the room was clean for the short amount of time that I was in it and I regret that I could not stay there but in the end it's about what I feel comfortable with. Sidenote, I was told that she forgot to empty the garbage cans in the room, which is why she came in , but they were all empty.
