This hotel is literally built over hwy! They have white noise machines to drown out the noise (ineffective)
We were in Boston for surgery for my husband and went early so we could enjoy the city for two days prior. The neighbors in our hallway, next door and across the way were very very noisy; I asked them up until 11:30 to quiet down, they finally did. Night two was the night before brain surgery - we were hoping for a good nights sleep. The group of people were noisier than the first night… I called the front desk three times and they were ineffective. My husband needed rest; and the front desk did everything but confront them. Finally they did, my husband stood outside their room with the staff person and told them he was calling the police. The front desk apparently have no training how to deal with a situation like this. My husband ended up with 4 hours sleep. That morning, I said something to a new crew and let them know I wanted to speak with the manager… he tried to obfuscate responsibility for our problem by stating he couldn’t do anything about the state and construction! This was not about construction; we didn’t hear construction! He was rude, and disrespectful! The staff from the night before were at least apologetic and I think intimidated by the noisy group of tourists. The manager spoke with us upon our return; she was apologetic but I doubt anything will change here! This is an expensive hotel and we had two nights of almost no sleep.
