For 3 out of 5 days, we did not have any water at all. The other 2 days has cold water. The WiFi did not work at our room. The bird sanctuary outside our VIP room left a strong bird poop smell and had bird loud all throughout the night. It kept us awake many nights. The staff would not help with the water issue and tried to say the entire island was out when in fact it wasn’t. Very disappointed. The manager said because we booked through Expedia, there was nothing they could do.

I prepaid through Expedia, but they asked me to pay extra taxes, fees, etc. Also, there are tons of mosquitos in bedroom. I caught over 100 mosquitos, but they kept coming into the bedroom somehow. My wife and I got over 100 mosquito bites over 2 nights and we couldn't sleep.

Mia reef is last resort on island so its like living on a culdesac no foot or any traffic accept those staying at resort same for beach area

The location of this property is truly the only thing I absolutely loved. The food was mediocre at best, the rooms were outdated and small and the beds very hard!!. The hotel was unkept and dirty, except for the lobby. You can not get drinks with top shelf liquor unless you’re part of the “MIA Club”. For 2 days we had no hot water due in the hotel. The towel hut to get beach towels is only open from 9am-5pm. So if you have an early morning excursion, make sure you get your towel the day before. They run out of wine daily, they run out of the fish at the ceviche bar by 4pm (and it’s only open for 1pm-6pm). All in all, sadly this all inclusive is not for me.

This resort is beautiful but i need they need to upgrade it in every way. I was there 5 years ago and the place took my breath away but now that i went in July, everything looks old? I don't know i just this that if the do a make over of the place it would be like sooooo nice. The staff there though omg theyre so nice and attentive especially LUIS (the bartender) hes the best 👌 👍

The property does not live up to the pictures online. It is a bit dated and not the cleanest. The pool was murky and had loads of tiles breaking off so one entrance was blocked off as someone cut their foot on the loose tiles. The hot water went out which was not the end of the world since it was so hot. Food options are very limited. Overall the stay was pleasant but not sure we would rush back in a hurry. The ocean was truly amazing and the best part of the hotel.

Excellent location for a hotel that has not been renovated since it was built. It’s sad to see how deteriorated the entire complex is for the beautiful beach it has. The food not the drinks wetr good. Employees were friendly.

Staff was friendly but that couldn’t make up for the bird sanctuary that is on property that smells like poop and so loud you can’t sleep. On a separate note we had power most of the time. Power outages once a day or more. Dining was limited so we out away almost every meal (food was subpar). Room phones never worked so couldn’t call for towels or even ask a question. For an all inclusive I wouldn’t recommend.

Hello All! My wife & I stayed at the Mia Reef Resort in July of 2024! We both LOVED our stay & we were in LOVE with the resorts location, food, ocean views, beach & snorkling! The properties beachfront was stunning & the clarity of the water was insane! You could see 50 to 80 ft underwater! The food in the buffet & higher end restaurant were always DELICIOUS!!!! The staff was AMAZING & always helpful, kind & curtious! We are a lesbian couple & they treated us like family! No matter their position in the resort, everyone treated us as humans, with no prejudices! So to any of our LGBTQ community, you will be welcomed here & treated with respect. We always worry about how we're going to be treated on our travels & at Mia Reef we are welcomed with smiles & kindness everyday! We will most certainty return someday, after we go to Europe! Ps. They also have a permanent taxi service, that's on call & is only $10 from & to the hotel everytime from the resorts front door! Just don't forget to tip, too! The drivers were always nice & speedy! All & All it was an INCREDIBLE stay & BEAUTIFUL adventure & we will be back!

Really loved this place because of the beach, friendly staff, and the buffet! The downside was the shower water does not get warm at all. There are also some staff that try to trick you into meeting with a timeshare salesperson. Lots of bird poop everywhere like a whole walkway entrance to few rooms completely covered in poop, it smelled and so many birds of course it was noisy. I honestly didn't mind the birds and i was lucky to be able to use the back entrance to the villa but the group i traveled with had a hard time sleeping through all the chirping. Also, the tv in the room worked all but 10 mins and lastly the wifi really didn't work well. The beach and the land tour made it all worth it!

Property location is amazing! It need more personnel to attend the needs of tourists. My husband and I were staying at the villas, beautiful area, but away from the main tower / office. Prior to our departure we requested help with luggage from our villas next morning at 5:15 am so we could get the taxi and ferry. Well, no one from the hotel came to help. We had to walk with the suitcases in the dark, ( there is no lighting around this area.) We went from door to door around the tower trying to find and open door to the reception area. Fortunately, my 79 year old husband made it with out a fall. When we got to the reception, we told the clerk. He checked the ledger from the prior day and there it was the request on paper, but not carried out. That and many more instances showed us that this pretty hotel need more communication and personnel to take care of their customers.

Mia reef is in a beautiful location, but managment sucks, food is very poor qual and no options, they run out of meat and seafood in the first hour of lunch, they had ro split us party of 6 for the dining reservation 3 inside ans 3 outside, no desserts option at all, drinks are literally water, there is no hot waterat all. They are luxky to have a beautiful beach which need to be clean ans very nice people working there but managment could be better

Property was great. The food was actually really good most of the time I did the buffet. This property has the most amazing beach. I've stayed in many resorts that were much nicer but did not have the beach like Mia has. It's a great location to head into town and enjoy the local food and shopping. I will come back.
