Great location near dining and transport, room was renovated and well designed, bed was very comfortable, perfect for conferences or short term stays. No sign on the elevator where the pool is, Pool was small and extremely cold, parking was an additional cost, Toilet had no hand soap in the foyer, hand sanitizer was empty. I would personally not stay here again.

The rooms were nice and decent, and the location was near the river. However, they were renovating rooms nearby, which were very loud during the day and dusty at night. The light in the area by the lift did not work at night. If I had known there was renovation happening, I would have chosen another place. Out of the three lifts, I don't think all were in operation, so going up and down took a long time during peak times.

As requested our room was at the higher floor -12th flr (thank you) which seemed to be a refurbished one. Check in was smooth staff was pleasant. Food during dinner at Table 30 was not as delightful as our previous dining. Still, Park Royal would remain one of the favourite places to stay when in the area.

I paid extra for a King suite, but the bed was a queen size. When I spoke to reception that there may have been a mistake, they told me that was what they called a king bed. They can’t just change the definition of a king bed! I spoke to a manager at check out who said their boss would contact me, and still no contact. Fobbed off and terrible customer service. Hotel is clean, but beware of upgrading. It’s a scam.

My wife and I stayed for four nights, for what we knew would be a stressful event. I chose this hotel because I had previously had wonderful experiences and thought it would help ease the stress. Between a complete absence of hot water until day 2, having to use the gymnasium shower for the duration of our stay and the lack of a separate bed for our child (who was a paid guest), I was incredibly disappointed and sad to say that I could not be easily persuaded to go back, as my family have a history with the Park Royal, since it was built in the 80’s. My choice of accommodation added to our stress. For the money, we could have found much more in a cheap motel.

Excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very comfortable. Great bed. Shower wasn't powerful but did the trick. Room had all of the amenities. Plenty to see and do within walking distance and train station nearby. Will definitely stay there again, just not until the noisy construction is finished.
